Add TheStoryGraph to list of online databases?
editTheStoryGraph is a site similar to GoodReads, which is already on the list, so it should be in scope for the page.
It has a quite large database of books and tools to help people to keep track of to read lists, rate and review books, organize book circles, read-alongs and other activities.
The URL for a given ISBN should probably be https://app.thestorygraph.com/browse?search_term=MAGICNUMBER 212.247.182.250 (talk) 08:55, 21 January 2025 (UTC)

Amazon.ca seems to care about format of ISBN
editNoticed that the current search of an ISBN in amazon.ca seems to fail if the ISBN is given as a string of digits with no dash, i.e. https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=9781118388679 fails whereas https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=978-1443427999 succeeds Nessman (talk) 16:30, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
Possible to add direct link to Internet Archive search?
editI think that the Internet Archive produces more results than Open Library for scanned texts. Would it be possible to add a link to search Internet Archive for the ISBN directly? Unlike Open Library their search seems to prefer no hyphens in the number. Tsarivan613 (talk) 03:05, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
Design question
editI am discussing this here because there's no talk page on this page; does anyone else think Special:BookSources needs a redesign? Every time I follow a hyperlinked ISBN from a citation, I get to this page and then promptly click the "Search" button and then realize the search was already made for me. It's visually unclear because there's a paragraph of text before the results, and also because the search results look like an article page - it does not match other search pages across Wikipedia. MediaWiki has their own style for the same extension which is cleaner.
If anyone knows a better place to ask this, like a place to propose design changes on Wikipedia, please let me know. Edit7hesadparts (talk) 15:56, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
