Community Health learning campaign - Analysis Report of Community Responses

Thank you!

Hi,
apologies for writing in English, if this is not your first language.
I want to thank you once more for engaging in conversation on the Community Health learning campaign. It took us a while, but we can finally announce the winner of the prize, as well as share the outcomes of this conversation.

You might also be interested in taking part in the 2015 Harassment consultation. This is the first of several planned consultations on this topic, intended to provide a place to discuss ideas, concerns, proposals and possible solutions regarding Wikimedia communities’ harassment-related challenges.

This conversation would not have been the same without you. If you have more ideas, or follow up comments on the findings of the campaign, don't hesitate to leave me a message my talk page.

Have a great day,

María

Your submission at Articles for creation: Bat Ella (June 17)

edit

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Lijil was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This article doesn't show that the subject is notable per WP:SINGER. Your claims in the comments that she is notable are not currently backed up by the text of the article or by your sources. It would help our volunteer reviewers by identifying, on the draft's talk page, the WP:THREE best sources that establish notability of the subject. t would also be helpful if you could please identify with specificity, exactly which criteria you believe the page meets (eg "I think the page now meets WP:SINGER criteria #3, because XXXXX"). Lijil (talk) 10:55, 17 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. I have tried to rephrase copyright violation where possible. The rest of the article looks pretty good so I did not decline and will leave to other reviewers to give a thorough review.

Most of the items I have removed were identical paragraphs or phrases, but I think it is different enough now to not be an issue.

I've tagged for a revdel from an admin, but this shouldn't impact the draft's future reviews. sksatsuma 15:54, 12 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by ChrysGalley was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
I have gone through all the links in some detail, and this article is not quite there, but it's quite close. See WP:BASIC and WP:THREE - the latter is an essay, not policy, but it may explain the issue here.

Under WP:ANYBIO we need good in-depth sources, about what other people say about the subject. What the subject says is not important here, so that goes for interviews too. There is the substantial piece in New York Real Estate Journal, so that's one, but we need multiple for a living person, ideally three as mentioned, but two as a minimum. Some people can get articles relatively easily since in some scenarios the notability is quite specific - such as elected to the Senate, becoming a "named chair" professor, releasing two albums on a major label. President of the AJC is not one on this list.

So instead we need the multiple independent in-depth sources. I'm guessing this won't actually be too difficult since I would expect some press story, perhaps in the Jewish media, on the subject's elevation to the presidency and that would give a few hundred words as a profile. When it comes to sources it's best not to get dozens of passing references, but a few good sources.

Finally there was a WP:COI query raised on the submitter's talk page, but I don't see the answer. If the submitter is closely connected to the subject, it's best to put a few sentences on the subject's Talk page to clarify the relationship.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Assistance in writing articles about Israeli Water supply

edit

Hey @Ovedc, would you be willing to help me write articles on the reverse-supply of water to the Kinneret & a template on Israel's water supply.

They're both basically empty, but since you've edited related pages, I thought you might be willing to lend a hand. Thanks! TimeEngineer (talk) 12:16, 18 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello TimeEngineer! Wow - very nice work! I did some updates in the Hebrew Wikipedia about this subject, but I don't really know much, just researching the sources. I will try to see the future work you will add, and try to see if I could help. Good luck! Ovedc (talk) 06:48, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: PetPace (November 20)

edit

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pythoncoder was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
