Pascalle Amy Smith was born 4 May 1986 in Miami, Florida. Her father is an attorney and her mother a former Miss Bahamas runner up is a mortgage broker, who began her working career at Sun International, a luxurious resort in the Bahamas (before it became Atlantis). Her first photo shoot at the age of three opened her eyes, and she soon began ballet at the age of four, (and later in the teens took on a liking for jazz and hip hop dancing as well). Pascalle moved with her mother and stepfather to Switzerland and was exposed to large variety of musical genres including dance, electronic dance music, and Euro Pop. However, she also used to listen to Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Anastacia and Whitney Houston. By the time Pascalle became a pre-teen she had witnessed her mother suffer an abusive relationship, and experienced her share of abuse from her stepfather as well. She was removed from the home by social services, until her mother was able to fight to get her back in her custody. Music became Pascalle’s escape from her troubles. Their family returned to the Bahamas when Pascalle attended Queen’s College, and Mount Carmel Preparatory academy from which she graduated. During her last year in high school, her friend was murdered, and once again Pascalle turned to music, she gravitated to Dancehall, Reggae, and R&B. After graduating high school, she moved back to Miami, Florida, where she worked as a personal aide to the District 5 City of Miami Commissioner Arthur Teele who was also her guardian, while studying International Business at Nova Southeastern University and taking acting lessons with Sherry Faith on the side. In 2005 Arthur Teele committed suicide, which left Pascalle devastated and in a depressed state; she withdrew from school, as she had no other choice and once again turned to music and entertainment.
