Former good article nomineePulp Fiction was a Media and drama good articles nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

Marcellus' Soul ...

edit

This may be extraneous info., so, no offense taken if not added to the article. Part of the belief that his soul is in the briefcase, has to do with the unexplained band-aid across the back of the base of his skull. As the theory went, the nape of the neck is where "voodoo" practicers remove the soul from a victim. (Must admit I am not all knowing in the ways of voodoo and that was just the way it was worded in a few articles waaaaay back when.) But,it was part of the reason the two things were coupled. ~2026-85811-7 (talk) 20:12, 17 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Possible Error in Plot Section

edit

Hey folks, I am not an editor, but I am a fan of the film. I believe part of the plot section in the article is incorrect. However, I could be wrong, that's another reason I didn't make an account and edit the article. I wanted to see what you guys thought. In the article, it says: "Jules defuses the situation, allowing the two to keep the money from only his wallet and letting them leave". However, in the film, Jules says to Ringo: "now, with all the wallets and the register, that makes this a pretty successful little score, huh?". This seems to clearly imply that Jules let them leave with the wallets and the register money as well. I went back and watched the scene again to make sure. There's no indication that he made Ringo give everybody else their money back, he just wanted to keep the briefcase. Thanks everybody, take care.  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-16595-99 (talk) 22:09, 15 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Revisiting discussions on the genre

edit

There has been extensive discussion in the past on the primary genre for the article's lede, where several editors (including me) disagreed with the inclusion of 'black comedy'. I personally feel that most of Tarantino's films should be labelled as such if we're going to keep it for Pulp Fiction.

As sources such as AFI, EBSCO and Encyclopaedia Britannica do not specifically use the term 'black comedy' to describe the film, I believe trimming it down to just 'crime comedy' or 'crime' is most fitting. Donkey Hot-day (talk) 02:58, 8 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hegseth "prayer"

edit

In 2026, mentioning a rescue operation in the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran during a controversial Christian prayer service at the Pentagon, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth almost literally recited Jules' 'biblical' passage as CSAR 25:17, claiming this "is meant to reflect Ezekiel 25:17".[1][2] ~2026-23610-14 (talk) 00:47, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you." ---- Pulp Fiction
