While unlikely, it's still possible that a hundred percent of the tiresome logicians aren't Greek, though. Which, if true, would also imply that none of the Greek logicians are tiresome. 198.48.202.76 (talk) 21:28, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

1. "Some Greeks are logicians and some logicians are tiresome; therefore, some Greeks are tiresome." is not a valid argument. Form is Some A is B, some B is C therefore some A is C. You might as well argue "Some dogs are animals, some animals lay eggs therefore some dogs lay eggs.

2. An argument can be said to be valid or invalid, sound or unsound but neither true or false

Technically no, because if you think about it, they are technically "Starting-Point Arguments", and from counterarguments, creates an entire dialogue of statements/arguments about the subject discussed, for example Wikipedia Talk Topics, begins with a statement, arguments and counter-arguments, and ends with a consensus, there is a whole debate about whether it is appropriate to consider statements as arguments, some say "No, they are not the same thing", while others think that they are considered arguments. 177.105.90.20 (talk) 20:54, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

Typos and made-up words

This article needs some editing love. There is "(iff)" stuck in the middle of a sentence--whatever the heck that is--and later "uncogent," which is not a word. Iaoscc17 (talk) 13:56, 1 September 2025 (UTC)

As for the first part, the context is if and only if (iff). IffIff is commonly used in mathematics, and Wikipedia in fact redirects it to If and only if. Not so sure about "uncogent". Favonian (talk) 14:32, 1 September 2025 (UTC)
