I got in to Pottermore!!!

:D :D :D

My username is LightWolf74, which I think is pretty damn awesome considering I was hoping for something Marauder-ish but I was trying to not get my hopes up since I knew choices would be limited. So...yaaaaaay! :D

Already gotten my first confirmation e-mail, now just waiting along with everyone else until they start letting people into the site...

I'm gonna be checking my e-mail like a maniac, haha

Also, has anyone else read the rules for this place? It sounds like they're gonna be super hardcore strict about everything, which I guess makes sense considering they're letting little kids in, but still...my eyes were like this: O.O lol But I mean, that works out ok for me since my family is joining too(sigh), and they can neither know about my fb or my lj, so at least it'll be easy to keep it separate and contained, XD

...this is probably crazy.

But I heard that the Pottermore registration opening for day 3 is gonna happen between 4 AM and 8 AM EST. So I'm getting up at 4 in the fucking morning to try to get in, and I'm about as far from a morning person as it gets.

This is how much I love Harry Potter, lol Once I get my confirmation e-mail, it'll all be worth it.

Slightly Random Plea

Ok, this will be almost as random as it was for me when I got a text about it out of the blue last weekend, XD

Does anyone out there know how to find a copy of the fic Underwater Light?

The mother of someone who's been one of my best friends my entire life(seriously, we met at daycare as like, 3 year olds) text me last weekend and asked me if I knew how to find it and my mental response was pretty much this:

O.o ....o.O...O.O...WTF?!

lol, XD It was just very sudden, and I'm not used to parents of people I know asking about fanfic, haha Anyway, apparently she read an article in TIME magazine and it had 'must read hp fics' in there, and that was one of them. I did some digging for her, and I found out that it's an incredibly famous Draco/Harry, the author of which has been out of fandom for some time. Now, I'm not a Draco/Harry fan simply because I hate Draco with a ridiculous passion, but I'd like to help her find this if I can, and I'm sure someone out there has saved a copy of it.

So...does anyone know where one of those copies might be? *puppy eyes*

...I can't believe it.

So I've known for ages that this was the last HP movie, of course. And I've known I was going tonight, regardless of the fact that I have a big test tomorrow, because some things are more than worth it.

But it didn't really hit me until this morning. This is the end. And I'm...not ready. I could never be ready. I re-read Snape's memories this morning, and Harry's walk through the forest, and I cried and realized it was nothing on how much I was going to cry my fucking eyes out tonight as a huge part of my life comes to an end.

This deserves a proper entry, and it'll get one, but for right now, this is what I posted in my status on fb:

Before DH came out Borders gave out bookmarks that said "Will you be with Harry at the end?". My answer then was an unequivocal yes. Now, my answer is this: It never ends. Love, and kinship, and the sharing of something so deep...that never ends. I have grown up with Harry, and I will be with him always, to the end and beyond.

Writer's Block: What I'm Reading This Summer.

Which summer read will be in your beach bag?

Well, considering I've already been to the beach, this should be past tense, :P

BUT I read Heart of the Dragon and The Unholy Cause, both Supernatural books, and I read this book called Portion of the Sea that's by a local author down there on Sanibel where we were vacationing. (and I actually just finished reading that book this past weekend...that's how little time I've had to read between now and then. T.T)

And though I need to finish the third Percy Jackson book and the second Looking Glass Wars book(both of which I've already started), just Sunday night I started rereading Harry Potter. I've been wanting to do it for awhile and one of my best friends did it about a week or so ago and those things combined just meant it needed to be now, :D

So, I'm about a fourth of the way through Sorcerer's Stone and I'm remembering why I love these books so desperately and always will...and I think this is probably going to push me back into HP fandom, which is good because I've never really been IN HP fandom as anything more than a lurker because that was so long ago, back before I really wrote fanfiction for real and back before I even had an account anywhere. So...yeah. It'll be fun, ^^
