Homemade Wedding Binder

I am sorry for the lack of updates! The holiday season is upon us & I am now involved with a production of "Miracle on 34th Street" along with now being ENGAGED. So that prompted this entry on how to put together your own wedding binder/planner instead of wasting your money on one from the bookstore. It's really easy & very affordable!

I purchased the following:

- 3 ring binder (Dollar General $2)
- Package of lined paper. (Dollar Tree $1)
- Pencil pouch (Dollar General $1)
- 10 dividers (2 pkgs of 5, $1 each at Big Lots)
- 3 folders (Dollar General $.075 each)
- 25 count sheet protectors (Walmart $1.56)

I had my fiance use the printer at work to print out my wedding checklist from http://www.offbeatbride.com .. so if you have a friend who can print & hole punch stuff for you at their job .. you can save money like that.

So I got my own wedding planner binder for under $10 dollars! & it's easy to customize!

Meal Planner & Recipe Cards

If there is anything that drives my DB crazy, it's the kids hovering around him while he is cooking or if I am cooking. (I don't mind it as much myself.) They always ask, "What's for dinner?" over & over again. So I saw this & thought it'd be a great idea to implement in my house. I can get pretty much everything needed to make these at the dollar store. (Dollar Tree is my best friend!)

Target Coupons

I got this link to some awesome Target coupons. It includes Seventh Generation cleaning products! I love that brand. So I am sharing this page with you. There are also a lot of coupons for their store brand & some baby items. I've gotten really into couponing lately & I plan on having coupons play a big part in my home planning organizer. :)

Enjoy!

Home Planning Notebook

I've always been pretty disorganized. I am trying to overcome that. Especially having to handle Milo & his appointments with specialists. So I found this blog that had a great outline on how to make a home planning notebook. I've always wanted to make one of these. I have lots of binders so I might start working on making one. I found this on a great homemaking blog. :) Check it out.

Homemade Laundry Detergent

I stumbled upon this really awesome blog about making your own laundry detergent. I definitely want to make this soon. I have already talked to DB about it & he seemed to like the idea. The original purchases will pay for themselves after we use it for a while. The blog article claims that it only costs around $6 to make & will get you approximately 576 loads! I will make an update to this after the weekend once I can go buy the items for this. We have been using the Dollar Tree concentrated detergent & while it works wonderfully this will most likely save us money in the long run. Maybe I can find coupons for some of the ingredients!
