Moravia, Kevin Harris and Anna Laytham of HellaCrisis in New York City, the box-set features four of Mr. Onyeabor’s original records (Good Name, Crashes in Love -version 2, Body and Soul and Hypertension), a 16 pages booklet written by Mike Rubin and the most beautiful poster you can ever imagine. It also includes an amazing new re-work (never previously released) of his song “Body and Soul” by PEAKING LIGHTS.

The box-set is a limited and hand numbered release that will be available on CD and LP only.

Though many of Onyeabor’s most wonderful tracks are featured on the Who Is William Onyeabor? compilation, there simply wasn’t room for countless others.  So, due to the overwhelmingly positive response to his work, ALL of Onyeabor’s creative output will be released on November 18, available as 2 hand-numbered LP boxes or 1 CD box with 9 CDs. The set comes with lovely booklets and has a 45" with an amazing remix on one side.  Special thanks to Yego M. Moravia, Kevin Harris, and Anna Laytham, whose hard work is responsible for the box set’s beautiful design.

Just announced, “Atomic Bomb! The music of William Onyeabor” will be going to Australia in the new year to be part of the wonderful Sydney Festival, featuring Gotye, Sinkane, Money Mark, Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem/Museum of Love), Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Luke Jenner (The Rapture) and the lovely Mahotella Queens from South Africa!

“Atomic Bomb!” to play Modern Sky Festival in Central Park!

Boom! Following this springs sold out shows at BAM and the Barbican Center in London (to raving reviews!), and after playing festivals all around Europe this summer (too even more raving reviews!) , the “Atomic Bomb! Who is William Onyeabor?” show will return to New York City this fall for a rare appearance at The Modern Sky Festival in Central Park. Playing alongside Cat Power, Liars and loads of interesting acts from China, the show will be part of the worldwide Luaka Bop birthday party (celebrating 25 years in NYC and the world!!) - expect the best plate spinners and dog show you’ve ever seen - and a fantastic lineup of artists and special guests performing the futuristic Afro-Funk of William Onyeabor. Stay tuned!
