I have a set of Gojyo production sketches from the Saiyuki 'Burial" OVAs, specifically the Gojyo/Hakkai episode. There are 18 original hand-drawn sheets. $25.00 for the set, plus shipping.
It took a long time for me to get decent pics of my Yohji and Aya production sketches in order to share them here, but I finally did it over my break! Scanning didn't work at all because some of them are 19" long and had to be done in sections, which never ended up matching right and the gorgeous pencil shading always washed out. I managed to get good enough shots from my camera, though. So here they are!
Fic: Night and Day Fandom: Weiß Kreuz Pairing: Yohji/Aya Rating: R Word count: 1540 Beta: whymzycal Notes: This fic was supposed to be an epically long angst-fest that just never happened. I worked on it for well over a year and just couldn't get it going past a certain point. This part stands on its own, so I'm going to let it go and hopefully free myself up to write something new.
Title: Silver Heels Pairing/Characters: J.R. Celski/Apolo Ohno Prompt: Memory Rating: G Word Count: 318 Beta: whymzycal
The disqualification had hurt at first. Not only did the judges ignore the fact that Hamelin had bumped into him, forcing him to shrug Hamelin off, but J.R. had been moving up to a qualifying position that would have taken him into the final. Not qualifying would have been disappointing, but being disqualified was far worse. His hopes for one more individual medal, dashed.
But while they could take away his chance at another medal, they couldn’t take away what he had earned in the 1500 meter. It was more than the medal that had hung around his neck as he stood on the podium.
For eight years J.R. had watched Ohno winning medal after medal in two Olympic games and countless other international competitions. He admired him. Hell, he idolized him. Ohno was the reason that J.R. had switched to skating on ice after seeing him in the 2002 Winter Games. Just skating in the same race was a dream come true. Now J.R. was hungry for more, and the disqualification was disappointing.
But that was the nature of short track. Short track was rock and roll, it was fast, it was uncontrolled, and it was dirty. After nearly bleeding out in the trials, J.R. knew that only too well. He considered it a gift to be skating at all when for a few short minutes he had wondered if he was going to die that day on the ice.
So screw the judges and his disqualification. Not only did J.R. have an Olympic bronze medal, he had something else that they couldn’t take from him: the memory of strong arms lifting him off the ice, the American flag wrapped around him, and a grin that just wouldn’t quit. In the few seconds that Apolo had picked him up in celebration after their race, J.R. had never felt so high.
Fic: The Silence Before the Storm Fandom: Prince of Tennis Prompt: "Indigo" Pairing: Hint of Tezuka/Fuji Rating: G Word count: 1340 Beta: whymzycal Summary: Fuji ponders transferring to Rikkai
Fic: No Money for Food Fandom: GetBackers Prompt: First time sex or first kiss for a pairing you've never written before. Pairing: Ban/Ginji Rating: PG? Word count: 723 Beta: whymzycal
It was a lazy afternoon. The windows on Lady Bug were rolled down, but even the light breeze that blew in the open windows wasn’t much of a relief in the early summer heat. It rose from the baking pavement like steam, making the inside of the car almost hotter than it was outside. Ban dangled his arm out the window, a cigarette in his hand, smoke curling from the tip, glasses firmly over his eyes to block out the bright light of the sun.
Fic: Lucky Number Fandom: Weiß Side B Prompt: Unexpected guest Pairing: Aya/Chloe, Aya/Yohji Rating: R Word count: 521 Beta: whymzycal
Yohji excused himself from Aya and made his way to the kitchen doorway where Chloe stood, surveying the scene in the living room. Ken, known for his six-pack abs, had imbibed in more than a six-pack all by himself, and was busy telling Free stories of Weiß‘s past missions. Free looked on impassively as Ken continued his tale, face-down on the living room couch, of taking down Masafumi Takatori in all his tentacled glory. Free was either pretending to hear Ken or really could understand the language of sofa cushions, as he somehow managed to nod in all the right places, much to Yohji’s amusement.
Fic: Executioner of the Rose Fandom: Weiß Side B Prompt: "Mine is an evil laugh." Pairing: Slight Aya/Chloe Rating: R Word count: 304 Beta: whymzycal
Aya and Free had needed all their strength to pull Chloe away from the dying man. They had managed to get all of the children away, safely secured into the waiting passenger van guarded by Yuki and Michel, before Chloe had stumbled onto the other laboratory. Chloe had stood still for nearly a full 30 seconds before he had lost it, his gabishis flying too fast for Aya’s eyes to follow.
Chloe wasn’t cruel, he was a quick and efficient killer, and it was with no small amount of horror that Aya looked on as Chloe exterminated the lives of numerous animals, some twisted and unrecognizable as the beings they once had been. He tossed their cages aside like tissue paper while the scientist hung from the wall, impaled by the metal darts embedded into his wrists.
Chloe, “executioner of the rose,” indeed.
Aya walked through the carnage slowly, careful not to slip in the blood pooling on the floor from the countless bodies, and stood behind Chloe as he hovered over their last victim.
“How could you? They’re poor, defenseless animals.” Chloe’s voice was low and rough in a way Aya had never heard before, sending chills down his spine. This was not the man he had woken next to that very morning, warm and soft with sleep. Here was someone Aya had never seen before, his eyes cold as ice as he hovered, gabishi to the man’s throat.
Seeing his own death in front of him, the scientist did not beg for his life or plead for mercy as Aya had expected. The man looked Chloe in the eye, a bloody grin on his face. “I’ll see you in hell,” he spat.
“I’ll be laughing the whole way,” Chloe replied as he slashed the man’s throat. “And mine is an evil laugh."
