Who can order from us?

Schools, Early Childhood centres and other Educational Institutions who have a registered account with us can order and purchase books through us. We also welcome orders from Educators / Counsellors (staff of Schools/ Educational organisations) for their own libraries. Please contact us if you are a Public Library for a customised account profile. Please note we do not supply to individuals.

How do I search for a specific title or particular range of books?

Our homepage is a great place to start browsing but if you're looking for a particular book or range of books, our search tools make it quick and easy!

What is a customer code?

This is a unique customer code that is allocated to your School/Library as an ID. Please contact us on [site_phone] if you don't yet know yours. If you are a current customer it can be found on your invoices. Feel free to contact us if you have any problems finding this code.

I can't remember my password - how can I retrieve it?

What flexible payment options do you offer to pay for my purchases?

We make payments simple and hassle-free for schools.

✔ End-of-Month (EOM) Accounts: All school customers automatically receive a 20th EOM account with us.
✔ Credit card payment is available at checkout if you'd prefer to pay upfront. 
✔ NSW DET Schools: We proudly partner with EDConnect (Gold status) for seamless transactions.

You can also download a PDF quote of the price of books you are wanting to buy at checkout, before processing through if need be.  

How End-of-Month Accounts Work:

  • You are only invoiced when your order is shipped, and only for the titles being dispatched.
  • If you pre-order an upcoming release, you won’t be invoiced until the book is received and ready for dispatch.

You can also make a credit card payment directly from the Invoice/Credit Note History page on our website when logged in.

How do I change my View when browsing titles?

There are three different views when browsing titles. To change the view of the titles you are browsing – click one of the two icons next to the word: View. This is situated above the first lot of books displayed. Change between the icons to see the titles in a gallery view or to a list form with additional details and options to easily add 'order notes' and to wish-lists.  

Clicking on the title cover image or 'more information' will enable you to view full description, link to alternate editions / formats and review stock numbers (when supplied by publisher).  

How do I create a New Basket or Wishlist?

After logging into your account, click on the drop down on the Basket arrow on just below and to the left of the Advanced Search link. Click [New Basket] at the top, type in a name for your basket and click ‘Create'.

Anytime you click on 'Add to basket', it will add the title to this basket. 

To change basket, click on the down down menu at the top again and choose the basket you want to add titles to. 

To add a new Wish-list, click on Wish-list at the top of the page, then on the left hand side next to Wish-list, you can click on the '+' to add a new Wish-list to work with. 

How can I review everything (or make changes) in my basket?

Click on the basket icon on the top right. This will take you to the basket that is identified within the dropdown basket menu. You can select any basket in this drop down menu before clicking on the basket icon to go that basket. Once in the basket, you can add title notes, change quantity, remove titles or select specific ones to add to a wishlist or another basket. The choice is yours - we just make it easy to execute.  

How can I check the availability of a title before or after placing an order?

We profile one of the most comprehensive ranges of books from Australia, New Zealand, the US, and the UK. To check availability, follow these steps:

Before Ordering: When logged into our website (after registering with your school customer code), you can view detailed availability information, including:

  • Stock availability (when provided by the publisher)
  • Release dates (both local and international) if the book is not yet published
  • Quantity on hand if the book is already released
  • Approximate delivery timeframe once ordered

We receive daily availability updates from most publishers and suppliers worldwide, ensuring the latest information on titles of interest.

After Ordering: If you’re checking on a title you’ve already ordered, the best place to look is your Order History:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click on Order History (top right of the website)
  3. View the status of your outstanding orders and track availability updates

Can I 'look inside' some titles?

Yes! Although only for titles that have provided inside pages for viewing online. You can see these in the detail page view for a title - where you will see a 'Look Inside' on the corner of the book cover or a 'Google preview' icon. Clicking on these will open a window so you can preview inside the book.

Can I adjust my covering preferences for individual orders?

Yes, absolutely! Whether you need to add covering for a one-off order or opt-out for a specific delivery, you can manage this during the checkout process. Simply ensure that items requiring different covering instructions are placed in separate baskets to apply the correct settings at checkout.

How can I get a copy of an invoice or credit note?

You can easily download invoices and credit notes directly from our website.

1. Log in to your account.

2. Click on 'Invoices' at the top of the webpage.

3. Search for and select the invoice or credit note you need by clicking on its number.

4. Download to view or print.

How can I find my Order Number?

To view your current or previous order numbers, login and click on Order History at the top of the page (next to your account name and wish-list). You can see the status of your orders plus download (to CSV) or print any details of your orders from here.

Where can I view the status of any backorders orders and see my order history?

After logging in, click on 'Order History' on the top area next to your account name (and wishlist). You can then view details of your orders by sales order (simply click on the sales order) or complete the form to search for a particular title, or filter by web/ sales order, order dates, status of order (by selecting the option in the dropdown menu), specific ISBN/ Title, order reference or Invoice #... and click on 'Search Order Items' to display the items.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Delivery times depend on availability at the publisher/supplier, but we make it easy for you to check:

📌 Estimated Delivery Time: Every title on our website includes an estimated delivery timeframe that shows once you're logged in, so you can see how long it will take before placing your order.  It's based on the latest title availability information we have from publishers/ suppliers (typically updated daily). If there is an unforeseeable delay from the publisher/ supplier e.g. it's temporarily out of stock, or the release date has been put back, we will update you. 


🚀 Pre-Orders Delivered on Release: When you pre-order a title, we’ll order it in advance so we can deliver it as soon as it's released! Note too that we offer special promotional discounts on many upcoming releases, so keep an eye on our e'newsletters and the Upcoming Releases section on our website. SCIS records are also sorted for pre-ordered books, so they’re ready to go straight into your library system!

 

🌏 Global Availability: We provide real-time global availability, giving you the flexibility to source titles from either local or international suppliers to ensure quickest fulfilment or to best suit your needs. 


📦 Fast delivery: Titles are shipped as they arrive at our warehouse—we don’t wait for full order fulfilment before sending your books.
If however you'd prefer to have all books in a class set delivered together, you can request this when ordering.

Can I return a book I've ordered?

For added peace of mind, we offer a 7-day Right of Return on orders of print titles.

Returns must be in as new condition with a copy of the invoice and reason enclosed. Please contact us before returning any books so we can process them correctly.

Please note: Due to the terms of some smaller / specialist publishers the 7-day Right of Return does not apply. These are noted on the website as Firm sale titles, some specialist titles, print-on-demand titles, Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, and Audio/MP3 CDs.

What should I do if a book arrives misbound or damaged in transit?

We understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned. If any books arrive damaged or faulty, we will provide a free replacement—just let us know as soon as possible so we can organise a replacement to be ordered.

Damaged goods must be reported within 14 days of delivery. We're here to help so get in touch and we will provide assistance as to how to return it to us (if need be).
