help?

I know this community is no longer active, but I have a bit of a dilemma. I've been watching this community for its entire run and saving icons to my computer just for my own amusement-- I'm somewhat LJ-tarded and didn't understand the whole "comment and credit" thing. Now that I've gotten a bit more savvy I was hoping to use some of the ones I snagged. So I have a bunch of icons I think are from this community, but I don't know who they belong to! I tried to go through all the voting posts, but it's just too much to go through, and some of them have "expired." If you would take a second to check out my icons here and comment if you see yours (I'll give you credit/stop using it if you wish) I would appreciate it. Thanks all!

Last Results Post! Sniff!

And now, the time is near, I've made my case. Of this I'm certain. Okay, I'm not going to be schmaltzy. Or sappy. Or . . . salacious. I don't know, I've got a bit of peanut butter gluing my dictionary together in places.

Okay. *sigh* Here we go . . .

Well. That's that, I guess. I hope that all of you have enjoyed this community as much as we have. You guys all rock so much, and I know I speak for catmint when I say that we are humbled and pleased to have gotten to know all of you, and we've loved looking at your 100x100 art for the last two years. Be well.

Well, look at that. I got a little sappy, after all.

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

Oh, Angel. I have to admit, of the Joss shows, this is my least favorite. This is mostly because I don't like Angel. I know, I know! Feel free to stone me. However, I did love how Wesley, Cordy and Darla developed on the show. And I loved how it ended, you know, with everyone's death. That's my kind of show.

And that's it for Angel! Oh, it's all coming to a head! Woe!

My life happens to, on occasion, suck beond the telling of it.

Oh, hidey ho, whedonosity members. April sees me turning another year older, the start of the baseball season, and the closing of this community. If I were a poetic person, I'd make a whole speech about beginnings and endings, the circle of life, and so on. But I'm not, so let's just pretend that I quoted any or all of The Lion King to you just now, and that you are amazed by my very being.

Hakuna Matata, people. And a warthog.

You know, I still remember the very first time I watched Buffy. I'd heard that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was being turned into a show, and I remember thinking, "Huh. Well, I guess it'll be a comedy. Eh, I'll watch one ep." So I tuned into Welcome to the Hellmouth and, like, it wasn't a comedy. I mean, it was funny, but it was also dark, and a little scary, and, for a show about vampires, amazingly real. Plus, it had that awesome British guy from the Tasters' Choice commercials. I was sold, and remained a loyal fan through its entire run. I got involved with fandom in and around season six, and because of Buffy I've met so many awesome people, including my lovely and talented co-mod, and done things I never thought I would do. (Fly to LA to meet a whole bunch of people I don't know? Sure!) So even when there were down times, even when FX aired large blocks of Riley-centered episodes, through Beer Bad and, well, Beer Bad, I remember everything that has happened to me because of a short little blonde girl who kicked a lot of ass. And I smile.

And one of those wonderful things is this community, so let's get on with the results, shall we?

Such pretty Buffy icons. Yay for Buffy! By the way, I *just* got an excited phone call from a friend of mine, in which she told me all about how the girl who played Kennedy has come out. She's very excited, because of how she once touched her butt, or something. I don't know.

VOTING IS CLOSED!

Hey, kids. We're closing voting a little earlier than anticipated, because my home computer is STILL in the shop, and thus I only have internet access here at work. Sorry! But really, you should feel more sorry for me, because of how my computer is broken and probably cannot be fixed.

Pity me, damnit!

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for voting (and voting, and voting. Three pages of votes!). You guys are the best. And a lot of your icons made my day today, as I was frantically writing down votes. (You know, trying not to get caught not doing any work at work. Don't they understand? Mathing is work.)

We'll be back on Sunday to post the results - hopefully I can get access to a computer over the weekend, so that I can put up the results posts on Sunday, because I'd hate to miss saying goodbye to all of y'all.

See you Sunday . . .
