latin knowledge or scriptures anyone?

Hi everyone,

I deperately need help with the load of latin that my character is supposed to be spouting on one of his nostalgic-for-magic jaunts. if you have knowldege of latin liturgies or know anyone who studied latin before, pls pls point me in the right direction!

below are the 3 occasions where latin crops up:

1) Draco is in a muggle church, and he's wondering around touching the statues and reliefs and mummering the latin inscriptons.

I need 3 latin phrases that wont look out of place on some ornate church wall or statue. Anything will do, although i am specifically looking for wise of beautiful words/poems rather than o lord god this and that. this is because its hard to imagine draco speaking out such a sentence :)

2) some latin quote/quip/comment about the nature of draco's surname (it shd include the world malfy or mal-something) eg: any latin quote with the word 'malus fui' (i was evil) in it

the quote shd fit into the conversation below:

Draco hesitated.

The monk smiled. “I am John.”

“Malfoy, Draco.” The wizard proffered formally.

“Mal-foi? [insert latin quote here.] An interesting name.”

“Yes, well, are you going to throw me out on account of it?”

“Are you rich? I believe the church intends to add a new wing.”

3) any churchy/wise latin phrase where one of the words is new-ish or modified frm very ancient latin. eg the words Advena (immigrate) or Reclamatio (protest)

Phrase shd fit into the conversation below:

"Blah blah blah [insert latin scripture/phrase] But the word you keep missing is [insert modernized/bastardized latin word]”

“I’ve never heard of such a word.” Draco snapped. “It must be a modern muggle corruption.” He realized his admission belatedly, and tried to backpedal. “Perhaps the church deemed it necessary to explain things in certain ways to make them more accessible,”

Pls pls pls help!
