Who are you and where am I?
You've come across the place on LJ where I post all of the various fan art and fanfic that I write in my spare time (mostly art, these days). As for me, I'm melisus and so if you're curious about ME you can always head over and explore my personal LJ.

So what exactly do you do here?
I draw and from time-to-time work on fanfics. My fandoms are many, both big and small. When it comes to fanfiction chances are it'll be Harry Potter, but I've got some Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who stuff too. My art is full of many more fandoms. If you want to know what all of them are you can take a look at the interests on this page. The community is also fully accessible via tags, so look around and maybe you'll find something you like.

That's nice and all, but I'm looking for smut. The internet is for porn, you know!
As of now there isn't any smut in the form of fic or art. Maybe there will be one day when I can do it properly, but right now I'd probably only embarass myself.

Do you take commissions?
Honestly, would you want to commission anything from me? Right now I don't do commissions because, regardless of whether or not I'd have the time to do it, I don't think my art is really worth charging people for. I'm still developing with an artist and playing around with different mediums - finding my groove, you might say. As such, I am not at a point where I feel comfortable offering commissions. This may change though.

Even though you're not charging will you draw me _______ from my favourite fandom?
I might do gifts from time to time. If/when I do, I'll make a post about it. I like sharing and if I don't have anything going on, by all means make a request.

What about original characters? Do you do those?
If I have a post opening myself up for requests, yes, I will do original characters if you want. That just means I will of course need plenty of discriptive info.

This has all been about art. What about your fic? Do you gift those too?
Sadly, no. I write, but I'm not the sort of person who can write a fic quickly, wrap it up, and present it to someone. Finishing stories is often difficult enough to manage.

Am I allowed to REALLY tell you what I think about your art and fic?
As long as you're polite about it. I encourage feedback and constructive criticism on everything I do, but trolls, flames, and rudeness will not be tolerated under any circumstance.

Honestly, I like your art. Can I use it for icons, banners, etc?
Wow, if you really want to, of course you can. I'd be flattered. All I ask is that you credit melisus for the art content itself. If it's a gift I've done for someone else, however, I have to say no. If you want to use that art then you'll need to get the receiver's permission.

Can I write fic to go with your art? Or how about draw art to go with your fic?
If you did that, I would seriously think it was awesome. It'd be cool if you dropped me a link too. I'd be curious to see it.
