GameWorks PhysX Overview
PhysX is a scalable multi-platform game physics solution supporting a wide range of devices, from smartphones to high-end multicore CPUs and GPUs. PhysX is already integrated into some of the most popular game engines, e.g. UE3/UE4. PhysX also enables simulation -driven effects like Clothing, Destruction and Particles.
NVIDIA GameWorks in action
The NVIDIA GameWorks technology has been already used in a lot of games. Below is just a small selection of recently released games, for more examples, please check out our NVIDIA GameWorks Youtube Channel.
Call of Duty: Ghosts provides a more immersive gaming experience through interactive smoke (NVIDIA Turbulence), dynamic fur on Riley and the wolves (NVIDIA HairWorks), and TXAA.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is using interactive smoke (NVIDIA Turbulence), ShadowWorks (HBAO+ and Advanced Soft Shadows), and PostWorks (TXAA).
Batman Arkham Origins makes use of NVIDIA Turbulence for proper snow, smoke interaction. It also uses NVIDIA ShadowWorks (HBAO+, Adv. Soft Shadows), and NVIDIA PostWorks (TXAA).
Hawken makes extensive use of NVIDIA Turbulence for interactive energy effects. In addition PhysX Particles were used for interactive debris.
