I'm sending a kind of blanket message to everyone, so if you already know my spiel, bear with me.
In early October, a certain individual is going up for parole in New York. This individual happens to be the man who murdered John Lennon in cold blood nearly 26 years ago. If you want to know what happened in graphic detail, google one of those December 8th timelines and then google a picture of a hollow-point bullet. Get my drift?
The point is, MDC's going up for parole and it's important that we make sure he's denied it, in the name of justice.
Please take a few minutes out of your busy day and send a letter to:
NYS Board of Parole 97 Central Avenue Albany, New York 12206
Please make sure they're sent in early, as letters must be received ten days before the parole hearing.
Thank you very much for your time and please pass this on to anyone you know who may also wish to write in a letter.
Hey there, just joined, names Lynne. Absolutely love John, I tried to convince my dad to take me to see Lennon the musical but he said the tickets were too much :( ... Also my bday is December 8th ;-( .. ANYWAY, glad to join.
Hi! I just joined a minute ago. I've been a fan of John Lennon since September. I saw a musical in New York called Lennon and although it got bad reviews and it could have used some tweeking, it really opened my eyes. I had never heard anything really of The Beatles or John Lennon before that. I'm 19 years old and though my mom's a Beatles fan, I never really got into them at all before seeing the musical. I've only ever really listened to show tunes and anything new and though I thought the Beatles were cool, I didn't pay much attention to them at all and never really paid much attention to their music. So in addition, I heard nothing of John Lennon's solo work. (can you believe I never heard Imagine before seeing the show!?) But I was so swept up in the music and in the story of John's life. I can't get enough now and that's why I'm here!
...also, I just saw Help for the first time. *big grin* (I also admire and respect Yoko...so you can expect a debate from me if you get into Yoko bashing)
well hello all! i was just stopping by and decided to update... and i would love to apply for the historian position. cuz i like that! lol okay and news stuff. well i was on ebay the other day and saw some john lennon things going on auction. and after deciding that i did not have a few thousand dollars to spend (although i would love that) i just watched it. one of the jackets went for 600,000 pounds and the hand written lyrics to "all you need is love" (you can see them in the video) went for 100,000 pounds. i just thought that was some interesting info! peace and love shelby.
