Episode Discussion: 4.16 "In The Windl"

It's the season finale! -flail-

And I am fretting big time about what will happen. The writers usually have a huge cliff-hanger at this time, and I am very nervous about what it could lead to. When the episode is done, post your thoughts here. Or, you can post your thoughts as the episode is happening!

Why I think Peter is wrong

I mentioned in the comments to the last episode that my thoughts on Peter's actions needed an essay to express them properly. Surreal suggested that I could post it here. So here it is.

I’ve been trying to pin down why I so disliked Peter’s actions in the latest episode. This is the nearest I can get. It’s not about whether either of them is angsting about Neal lying to Peter.

I'm not setting out to change the way anyone else sees it; this is by way of clarifying my own thoughts. But comments/discussion would be welcome.

Episode Discussion: 4.13 "Empire City"

That was some episode last week, wasn't it? It sure generated a lot of discussion, both positive and negative about how El handled things. So what will happen tonight? Will El come clean with Peter? Will Peter honor her wishes? Will Neal confess to Peter and seek his guidance, even at the risk of upsetting Elizabeth?

I don't know! I guess we'll just have to watch.

Keep a particular eye on the directing of this episode, and let us know what you think of it. ;-)

Off the wall theory

"Off the wall" because I don't believe that it will happen - it would be great, if it did, but I don't expect it.[But: What if James is a way bigger player than he admits to be? Perhaps he is the one pulling the strings all along.]But: What if James is a way bigger player than he admits to be? Perhaps he is the one pulling the strings all along.
Think about it: When he turned up, he did his very best to cut Neal off Peter. When this didn't work, because Peter was too persistent, he maybe staged the abduction by Flynn junior. Wasn't the way he managed to escape way too easy? But the whole thing made his story, which might be a lie from start to finish, more believable. Flynn junior said that the gun was planted...what if it was? The only reason Neal went looking for it was because James told him the story about the gung the father had. Really, how likely is it that Flynn junior would not only do the same thing, but also doing it with the weapon which killed Ellen and not with another one?
Neal is now trusting his father - but who knows, perhaps that is a mistake and in the end it will turn out, that he has done way more than he admitted to.
