Figured to combine the ones I missed these past few days into one big entry! Hope everyone's been having fun :D
LIST THREE (or more) THINGS YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF. They don’t have to be your favorite things, just things that you think are good. Feel free to expand as much or as little as you want.
1. I have a LOT of perseverance. I'll give anything and everything my all!
2. I think I'm a pretty good listener, I prefer to listen than to talk :P
3. I got a lot of different interests, so I'll never be bored!
Talk about your creative process.
LOL I've actually talked a little bit about this before in this entry here! Writing isn't something I do real often, so hopefully I'll develop a better process in the future.
Talk about your favorite tropes in media or transformative works. (Feel free to substitute in theme/motif/cliche if "trope" doesn't resonate with you.)
The majority of my favorites kinda go hand-in-hand, so I'll try and elaborate best I can!
Hurt/Comfort, Angst, Miscommunication... I LOVE IT!! When two or more characters (usually friends or in a relationship) start fighting and get a lil' too heated, that's my favorite. Both of them make good points, but they can't come to a compromise just yet? Maybe Person A is pushing Person B away because they think that's what best for them, not realizing it only hurts Person B more. CHEF'S KISS! Though this doesn't solely apply to pairings, it can just be for a character(s)! Knock 'em down, ruin their life, DESTROY THEM!!
Slow Burn, Mutual Pining, Unrequited/Requited Love... all in the same bag as ^^ above, to the MAX. Neither of them want to ruin what they have, but it's so painful to think/see the other with someone else that's not them. They try so hard to not do anything about it, but their admiration seeps through the cracks and they get closer despite their efforts. I like seeing the build-up to how two characters get together (usually) more than an established relationship at the start. There's so many different ways for a pairing to end up together!
Not sure if this really counts as a trope... but I love a good fight scene, haha! I grew up on a lot of Shōnen, if that says anything. The tension a battle brings in on top of everything else going on in the plot gets my heart racing, instant fave!

Oh yes. Love the storytelling potential of a good fight scene, not only from Shōnen, but wrestling, too!

Date: January 18th, 2026 04:07 am (UTC)Characters fighting and then there being *something* that comes out from that--I like that too.
Person A pushing Person B away, though, naaaaah, not such a big fan of that one.

Date: January 26th, 2026 01:39 am (UTC)YES. 100%! The build up makes it so much more worth it... you never know where a character's anger will take them.
XD I totally get why! It's frustrating, like! Just talk to each other!! Everything will be solved, I promise!!!
