Fic: Cold Comfort

Title: Cold Comfort
Author: sarahetc
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: ~7,180
Disclaimer: Written for fun, not profit.
Summary: On a freezing planet named for hell, Wash, Simon and Inara share an evening of pleasure, hedging against morning, and abandonment, or worse.
Notes: This is a Wash/Inara/Simon missing scene or a bit of AU-within-AU from my story Apsis. If you haven't read Apsis, you could still probably enjoy this without too greatly stretching your suspension of disbelief. If you have read Apsis, hopefully this is reads true to you, a bit of resolution to some of the tension on Diyu. Thanks honu_girl for a great beta, as always. And so many thanks to tjs_whatnot for beta-ing for me for the first time, helping me out with the slash, and being all around fantastic with entertaining comments. All remaining errors are mine. Concrit is always appreciated.

"Current of Small Things" Wash/Zoe, pre-series

Title: Current of Small Things
Author: Which Witch
Rating:
PG-13
Warnings: none
Word Count: 1,934
Timeline: Pre-series.
A/N: Written for the Characters of Color Love Fest (choc_fic). My thanks and admiration to sarahetc for a fantastic beta job, on a very short deadline.
The prompt was for Firefly, Wash/Zoe, with these lyrics as inspiration: "Rain fall from concrete colored sky / No boy, don't speak now you just / Drive, drive, drive / Take me through make me feel alive, alive / When I ride with you".
Additional lyrics in the story by The Beatles.

Summary:
If it's not the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it's the annoying pilot. Either way, an especially bad morning in the life of Zoe.

"She never noticed the pilot smoking before, and she'd been paying close attention to everything the man does, him being completely untrustworthy."

Fic: Wearing Down Wash/Zoe NC-17 (1/1)

Summary: Wash wears down Zoe’s defenses
Spoilers: The entire series at least, Out of Gas specifically. Also the movie.
Disclaimers: They belong to a lot of people who are not me. No infringement is intended and no profit is being made, this is purely for fun.
Distribution: my LJ, my site, anywhere else just ask me.
Author’s notes: Missing scenes from the series. How Zoe went from not liking Wash to being married to him. Dialog from ‘Out of Gas’ written by Tim Minear. With thanks to  fiareynnefor looking it over.

28 Flavours of Wash

An idea stolen from itinerant_vae

Here's how it works: You claim one, I write 100 or more words of it in the comments. Feel free to specify a pairing (canon or crossover!) you'd like to see, and I'll do the best I can to fulfill it.

Head on over to my journal, here to check out the flavours and make a claim. Still plenty left!

Fic: Fruits of the Fibonacci Sequence

Title: Fruits of the Fibonacci Sequence
Author: Sarah, etc.
Rating: PG
Setting: Series
Word Count: ~1,400
Disclaimer: Written for fun, not profit.
Summary: What's the statute of limitations on a promise? A short, silly (very silly) sequel to The Legend of the Ceremonial Flying Pineapple. You don't need to have read that story to understand this one.
Notes: Honu Girl gives great beta. And I don't actually know that much about math, but I'm fascinated with it, especially when Jonathan Coulton sings about it. All constructive criticism is appreciated.

A short scene about calculus, fractals, and tropical fruit.
