[FAQ]

1. Is there an age requirement?

To be safe, we like to say fifteen. However, there will be content within the community that some people may choose not to partake in. Maturity is obviously the issue here: if you can write well and handle the scenarios dealt with, then there shouldn’t be a problem.

2. So what sort of content will there be anyway?

First of all, this game is set during what is essentially an all out war, so you can expect some dark themes. After all, the Dark Lord is almost at the height of his influence, therefore some rather unpleasant things will probably be happening under his command. Should some players decide to plot it things could go quite unsettling, because no doubt Voldemort and his followers have quite horrible torture methods. Along those same lines, many of the characters are adults, so they could find themselves in sexual situations.

That said, none of the above are required, if you’re squeamish one way or the other, you needn’t partake.

3. What format is this RP conducted in?

For logs, we use third person, storybook format, just like you’d read in a novel. Within the character’s own journal, it will just be a first person recollection of their experiences or a repository for their thoughts.

4. Can we create original characters?

In the case of the Order and the Death eaters, we would probably like to get some of the canon members first, before we start accepting OCs. Now, if you want a character that just works in the Ministry, some of those will have to be OCs and since we can’t be sure of all of the Deatheaters from this time period, it’s completely fine to have some OCs, especially if you want to play a female Deatheater, since there are only two we know of.

5. Are there content restrictions?

At the risk of sounding amoral, there are almost none! Serious matters are expected to be handled delicately and if something is wildly OOC, we might put our foot down. For example, unless he’s under the influence of some very strange potion or the Imperius curse, Snape probably isn’t going to run around Hogwarts tossing flowers and giving free hugs to all the Gryffindors. In such a situation, we would approach the issue quietly, speaking directly to the mun, and ask them for an explanation.
