-20 page rough draft of research paper due via email by 5 on Friday. Currently sitting at a comfy 1 page. At least I've got all my sources?

grrrr anger!

I'm reading a fic on fanfiction.net which is just sad, except it was highly recommended and is in fact wonderful (which I say after reading just one chapter): fusion between Firefly and Jane Eyre.

I get to the bottom of the page, and lo! There is an ad. This isn't what pisses me off. Oh no, what pisses me off is that it's advertising some Civil War romance with the line, "America's First Female Spy!"

*exlosion of rage, which involves lots of flailing arms and angry chihuahua noises*

Of course I can't think of any examples right off the top of my head, but there were women involved in just about every part of the American Revolution: as camp-followers, as cross-dressing soldiers, and definitely as spies.

The only thing I can think is that maybe since the revolution was what created the US, it doesn't count. But still! I'd be highly surprised if there weren't similar stories for the War of 1812.

So anyway, now that I've vented, back to the hilarity of Jayne Eyre.

Oddly enough, this night started with me browsing for Dark Angel fic. Huh.

Whatever. I'm going to go take a shower, eat mac n cheese, see how I feel then. In summary: baaaaahhhhhhhh

Also: I had to get my laptop reformatted, so I don't have photoshop on it anymore, for those people I told I'd do icons for. I have the disk at home, so when I can get it reinstalled, I'll definitely work on them.

Also also: omg Supernatural is awesome! Why has it taken so long for me to realize this? And why did I have to realize it in the middle of exams?
