It's a sad day when I've already seen the episode of "17 Kids and Counting" that is airing at the moment.

My desire to post random one-line things lately almost has me tempted to get a twitter. But, since I don't use this for anything else, I think I'll just keep it here.

Watching TLC while Josh isn't here... "I didn't know I was pregnant" just came on and this girl just gave birth into the toilet. Ummm.... wow. Talk about a birth story.

Also, what is the deal with wedding dresses with pockets? I just don't get it. What are you going to carry that you need pockets??

TLC is bad for my health.

Edit: They just put a doctor on tv to tell exactly why delivering a baby in the toilet is a bad idea. As if anyone actually thought it was a good thing.

leave me a comment telling me your all-time FAVORITE book...

bravest_hope asks:
1)if you could have your absolute dream wedding, cost being no option, what would you do?
I've never wanted a huge wedding. The biggest difference would probably be having a big dinner, but what I would really spend on given the chance would be the honeymoon :)

2)of the places you've lived, which has been your favorite?
St Pete, FL. I still miss it, a lot. I love being near family in Alabama, but there's just something about St Pete that I will always miss. And not just that it is always warm :)

3)what song means the most to you(not necessarily your favorite song, just the most meaningful) and why?
If you look at my lj layout that one answers itself :) "Woman With You" by Kenny Chesney. It reminds me of me. I'm always so determined to be the best, do all I can, prove something to someone... there is a part of me that just wants to fill that stereotypical womanly role and not always chase after the next rung on the corporate ladder.

4)what is you favorite food to eat? how about to cook?
I love me some steak :) Especially from a Japanese restaurant. I've lost a lot of interest in the show they put on, but I LOVE the food. My favorite to cook is probably pasta. I have a hard time standing for a long period of time, so things that require a long prep are not so much fun for me, even if I prefer the meal.

5)if you could say anything to yourself at 18, what would you say?
None of your current plans are going to work out like you think, but you could never imagine how great life will be. Stay true to yourself and if you find yourself thinking "maybe I shouldn't be doing this", don't do it. You're smarter--make that wiser--than you give yourself credit for, you just need to learn to listen to that inside voice.

The following was posted on facebook today, and reminded me of the days of the Tahoe, Disney music, and cruising the strip:

Today I was driving by the lake and I saw a Jeep full of guys pass me. They were hanging out the windows and the sunroof, paddling with canoe paddles, and singing "Just Around the Riverbend"
from Pocahontas. It easily may have been the coolest thing I've seen, ever. MLIA

Ahh, those were fun times.

I've been in a great mood lately. It's pretty incredible.

I miss ridiculous conversations. Seems I'm not around those sorts of people very often anymore.

I actually got some wedding stuff accomplished today--I'm super excited about this :)

I have a meeting at 9 am with a career counselor to dress up my resume. I hope it helps semi-quickly, but I really wouldn't mind a week or two of this absolute freedom.

The only thing I'm really stressing right now is I am still having trouble sleeping. I thought my troubles lately were work-related, but I guess not. I shouldn't really be surprised since I have had trouble sleeping my entire life, but I'd like to make this appointment in the morning feeling awake, not like I just dragged myself out of the bed.

Going to PC tomorrow night for another Pirates football game. If anyone wants to tag along call Josh's phone and let us know :)

Saturday my parents will be in town and they are taking us out to dinner. It will be good to see them. They're also bringing me a cell phone. Who can pass up a $10 a month plan?? :)

Guess it is time to try to sleep. Wish me luck!

Never work more than you play, be on call 24-7, or give your adult-youth to your job.

In the end, they never remember your sacrifices.

Heading out in a couple of hours to go to my aunt's house in Atlanta! My mom is coming there from SC, and tomorrow my mom, my aunt and I will be going to the bridal show that Cayla (and that company she works for) are hosting!

For right now... time to pack a bag, grab some food, and kiss my boy goodbye :)

Life in general

Work: sucks. Go figure. It is work, after all.

Nephew: Saw him Sunday. He's HUGE compared to a week ago! Unbelievable.

Wedding: Need a location. Looking for something in Tuscaloosa. Lots of places are just ridiculously expensive. Found a photographer that is actually *reasonable* in Tuscaloosa! And his photos are great :) I'll feel more comfortable with the planning when we have a location, and therefore a definite date to work with. I'm going to a bridal show in Atlanta with my mom (yay for half-way points) on the 23rd. (Thanks Cayla) That should be fun.

Florida: We're having our company meeting in Orlando again this year. We plan on getting Josh a ticket to fly down there, too, and spend the days following the meeting in St Pete. Hopefully that works out as planned.

Does anyone want to go see The Time Traveler's Wife? Josh seems completely uninterested, but I would like to see it :)

I hate Kmart. And the "rockstare" commercial I just saw just made it worse.

Pretty sure that's all for now.
