Reflection

Apologies to anyone I may have insulted or offended this past year. I hope you will forgive me (and tell me what I did so I can apologize).

Best wishes for an easy fast to those for whom it's relevant, and to everyone for a healthy, happy, and successful year.

Sad news

RIP jan howard finder a.k.a. Wombat, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was a good friend to both me and sdavido for many years (and one of the few people who knew us independently before we met). jan (lowercase!) was my Fan Guest of Honor when I chaired Arisia in 2001 - he was my first choice and I was delighted when he accepted. His ever-present warmth, joy, and sense of adventure served as an inspiration to all who knew him, and we always looked forward to his annual summary of the year's exploits and explorations. He will be greatly missed.
