For 13 years I longed for, begged and hoped to be rescued. This month, 3 years ago, I did it myself. I got out and became a survivor. I’m so grateful for my family and friends that extended their love and kindness for me and my babies.

I haven’t posted anything in a while. My mom passed away in April and my family and I spent most of our time by her side for months in the rehab center and then in the hospital. I honestly have felt like I’ve been going through a fog and am just now coming out of it, bit by bit.
I miss her very much but am grateful she’s no longer in pain. I’m glad to have spent the last few years with her, she was a kind soul and a beautiful person.
