um...what month is it?

My lavender is flowering. In bud, and flowering.

Odd. I thought it was December.

*grins* Personally, I'm glad it's so warm. Last night I could hear the birds chirping. In December! Made me smile :]

True, it does mean that we'll have, like, floods of snow until late march, but still. I'd really like not to think about the reasons for the gossip about Poland being a country with polar bears and penguins :P And hey, it's warm *now* and I am leaving the computer ang going on a walk :] Have a nice evening, sweetheart :]

I have a small pussy willow tree in my front garden which has fluffy buds on it and the house across the way has a magnolia coming into bloom. Mind you the cold snap we had when we visited Scotland this weekend will have probably put a stop to that up there. It was -4 on Friday and Saturday night then back to flooding and gales on Sunday. It's all so weird.

My hydrangeas still have beautiful blooms on them and no sign of them dying off, and there're big fat rosebuds on my climbing roses. My lilac tree has leaf buds, my fuschia is still flowering, and my penstemons are still looking good.

Go figure...

It is mad, isnt it. We had a cold snap down South here over the weekend and I thought that would put paid to all the blooming and budding all over the place - but no, all the flowering plants outside are still going strong !

I'm not complaning but I am sort of dreading what may lay in store for us in Jan/Feb =/
