Soundtrack of an afternoon at the office
Imagine the scene...
The gentle hum of many computers.
The click of several mice (yes, nev, they were wearing tap shoes).
The clatter of several keyboards.
The soft hissing of geeks programming with headphones on.
The occasional swearing.
The irregular half-squeaking, half-honking noise coming through the open window.
What could it be? Is it someone tormenting a small dog? Is it an elderly bicycle pump finally giving up the ghost? Is it a frantic couple getting over-excited in the alley?
Admin guy - *looks up * "Sounds like someone's juggling goslings."
Rest of office workers - *make noises of agreement and stop wondering*
I love working for this company!
In other geeky related news, my T-shirt finally arrived from Cafepress. It says "Yes, I've read a poem. Try not to faint." against a background of Rime of the Ancient Mariner text. Yes, I embrace my geekiness.
