the future begins right now

i cut eight inches off my hair tonight.

i'm still unsure on how i feel. it's very liberating, yes, but then i can't help but think how beautiful long curly hair always, always is.

and that, my friends, is classical me.

there's some ringing in trustcompany's "take it all" that is just incredible. sounds like a cymbol, maybe with some studs on it or something. i don't think i've heard it before.

also, the cymbol breakdown in maroon 5's "shiver" takes my breath away every time. i don't know why. that's just an incredible sounding hunk of metal, though.

the friday five:

1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?

a roadtrip. one where i do a majority of the driving. i'd like to go somewhere on the west coast, ideally.

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?

no; i know i probably should be, but i'm not. unless it's my mother. i'm very honest with her.

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?

yes; senior year in high school a good friend of mine went completely against her morals. i hate hypocrites with a passion.

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?

oh my goodness. i have no idea. i really don't think i could answer that.

5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?

i'd give anything to be more musical, or at least to be able to sing. absolutely anything.
