Marshall Community Pool at Taber Park
About The Marshall Community Pool
When the Marshall family purchased Richardson Drug Store on Cross Street and moved to Urbanna in 1929, they came to stay. Their home was above the drug store and “Doc” Marshall was always available. Over the generations, Marshall’s Drug Store was successful financially. With that success, the family continued to invest back into the Town. That investment brought longstanding positive and generational quality of life to the community. Whether the Town needed a doctor, a prescription filled at 3 a.m., a plumber, an ace pitcher for the semi-pro Urbanna baseball team in the 1940’s, or funding to help Urbanna Oyster Festival through bad weather years, the Marshalls made these things, and more, happen. The Urbanna Town Council voted to name the community pool to honor those family members who have passed and to thank those that remain today continuing the family legacy.

May 2026:
Sat through Mon, May 23 to 25: 1pm to 8pm
Tuesday through Thursday, May 26 to 28: CLOSED
Friday, May 29: 4pm to 8pm
Saturday through Sunday, May 30 to 31: 1pm to 8pm
June through August 2026:
Mondays: Closed
Tuesday through Thursday, 1pm to 6pm
Friday through Sunday: 1pm to 8pm
Holidays: 1pm to 8pm
September 2026:
Tuesday through Thursday, September 1 to 3: 1pm to 6pm
Friday through Monday, September 4 to 7: 1pm to 8pm
*The pool may be closed at the discretion of on-site management due to weather, staffing, or other issues. Patrons will comply as directed. If the pool has not opened by 5pm due to inclement weather, the facility will remain closed, regardless of weather conditions, until the next scheduled day of operation. In the event of inclement weather that arrives after 6pm, the pool shall be closed for the remainder of the evening.
Swim Meet Notice:
To accommodate swim meets, the pool will close early on some dates. Dates will be announced as soon as they are known.
To accommodate the championships swim meet, the pool MAY experience a delayed opening on a Saturday date to be determined.
These dates are all subject to rescheduling due to weather.
