Uppsala Medieval Society Banquet and FIGHT DAY!



BANQUET:

When: Saturday 9th AUGUST

Time: 6pm – 11.30pm

Where: 1st Lindfield Scouts, Scout Hall, Slade Street, Lindfield

Dress Code: Medieval. Clothes from any period are acceptable. No civvies.

Minimum requirements Tunic and pants.

Payment: with the Banquet only a few weeks around the corner, payment as soon as possible would be great. Please try and pay at least 1 week before the event

Menu:

There will be more then enough food for all. A variety of food will be prepared. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know as soon as possible.



Entertainment:

Uppsala will be hosting a range of entertaiment on the night. Including a BARDIC COMPETITION! We are running a bardic comp. Open to all. Prizes for the best.... bard. Poems, songs, etc etc
Uppsala want everyone to have fun. If you want to join in, then you are welcome. If you want to sit and laugh at us, that is fine too.

If people would like to bring their gear and firetwirl/breathe, we can give them centre stage for their preformance.

FIGHT DAY:

When: Saturday 9th AUGUST

Time: 9am-4pm

Where: Meet at1st Lindfield Scouts, Scout Hall, Slade Street, Lindfield. Location will be near by, a site will be chosen depending on numbers.

STUFFS

Heya,

Just a reminder the building trip is on Sunday... conctact pete for info.. I think he needs a car/driver.. too many slackers out there relying on others..


But more importantly NEXT Saturday is our BBQ
12.00 in the park where we train.
there will be sausage smamichs and drinks for a few bucks a piece. Training will be at one as normal.

Everyone is welcome, esp people with cameras and said camera ability.
Bored Girlfriends are welcome too, im sure there will be a few, plenty of nice trees to sit and chat under, or to lose yourself in a book.

and hopefully a few random friends and interested people will be there :D

Building Trip

The next building trip is on Sunday the 29th of July and it's a one day trip. We will be leaving Sydney at 6am to head down get work done then come back that night. Lunch will be supplied at a cost of $5 so that we don't need to stop for as long to take lunch breaks and can get more work done. Most cars will likely stop at Macca’s on the way down for breakfast

Just a reminder for those whishing to fight at CON.. you need to train at least once a week from now until con to be eligable to fight. (as per our group rules)

Fuz as head combatant has final say, as to your fighting being safe enough

Also im Traning with Danelaw this sunday, any one interested, let me know!
