Early evening Saturday I'm playing tons of Bach cello suites (1,3,4, finishing with the amazing creepy scordatura 5th suite). This is for a charitable organization that appears to not exist on the internet. So I'm posting about it here.

UJIMA ARTISTS COOPERATIVE PRESENTS:
IDES OF MARCH
Art auction, Raffle, and Party (Toga Optional)*

6:30 pm-9:30 pm (I perform from 7-9 with a 30-minute break)
111 Jones Community Room (Golden Gate & Jones)
San Francisco, CA
$5.00 donation requested & $5.00 raffle tickets

This is an organization that benefits underserved and marginalized artists, formerly incacerated community members, visually impaired artists, and at-risk youth. Ujima wishes to offer art instruction to those in need.

My thoughts: I am very glad there's an organization reaching out artistically to at-risk individuals in the Tenderloin. I'm hoping some of my friends can show up to support this.

*no, I don't think that means you can be naked. Save it for later that night.

2. Friday Dec. 21: Unwoman all alone and acoustic with a bunch of other acoustic acts at the Red Vic hotel/cafe, 8:00, All Ages, free ($5 donation requested) Unwoman goes on at about 9:30, get there early to find parking.
