Lawrence Wheat is drinking a Boston Lager by Samuel Adams at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg
I've never checked in on a regular Boston Lager? I'm shocked. Okay, so I liked the old recipe better. This isn't bad though. A little sweetness on the malt base. A bit thin on the tongue. Hops way dialed back from old recipe but slight bitterness present.

Lawrence Wheat is drinking an Irish Red by Narrow Path Brewing Co at Narrow Path Brewing Company
This is a very good Irish read with a rich, bready malt base, buttery caramel notes, a rich mouth-feel, good carbonation, and good hop balance. Would have rated even higher if not for slightly overroasted malt on the finish. Very good.

Lawrence Wheat is drinking a Queen City Pale by MadTree Brewing Company at MadTree Parks & Rec
This is much more a Hazy IPA than a straight up Pale Ale in my mind and to my taste buds. It's not bad but not what I was expecting. Hop profile is much more similar to a NE IPA or Hazy Pale Ale and without the fruity sweetness to offset. Okay.

Lawrence Wheat is drinking a Happy Amber by MadTree Brewing Company at MadTree Parks & Rec
A very good Amber that doesn't follow the norms, especially in the hop profile. Dark toasted bread and buttery sweet toffee notes with a hard (especially for an Amber) smack of dry hops. Bitterness doesn't linger too long.

This is interesting. Subtle floral notes in a rather complex crackery malt base. A hint of sweetness but more dry than sweet. Lacking in carbonation but that seems by design as it doesn't taste flat. Pretty darned good. Should pair with pizza.
