Nothing really sour about this one. Tastes like a brown ale, though it pours kind of reddish. Some coffee, some roast malt. A little sour, a little bitter. Cask Days 2013.

Doesn’t come together well. Merlot infused or merlot barrel? Pours murky brown without head or lacing. Aroma of merlot wine and booze. Some roast malt, though minimal. Low carbonation. Sweet finish and pretty light overall palate. Tap at Session.

Actually has a slightly fruity smell to it. A little raw wheat and a little apple sweetness. Taste is crisp, even a little bitter. Pours blond. No head. High carbonation. Aftertaste pretty much zilch but for a little bitterness. Really not bad for style.

Smells almost fruity. The taste isn’t actually as bad as you would think. There’s some decent barley and a little fermented taste. Might be past expiry date but for this beer that’s probably a good thing. Bottle

Pours with good colour, ruby black. Super creamy head with tons of lacing. Looks great. Smell has malty booze with a little caramel. Taste has some sweet and some bitter. Not a bad beer at all.

Decent carbonation, though head fades eventually. You can smell the maple. Had this right after Lake of Bays Rouse and the latter has it beat on cask. This is a clear red. Has some sourness with a tiny off note to after taste. Cask at Castro’s Lounge.
