Yep. That is trad. All malt and EKG. Put a handful of Munich into the grain bill and you can taste it for better or worse. Long beery aftertaste

A proper Westie build, but in last 6 weeks an accidental brettiness has emerged, which is strangely endearing as it seems to be turning into classic old India Pale Ale of the heritage sort.

18 months since last one. Can’t say if it has smoothed out but little lemon now, much pineapple and cherry pie and long mellow funk. Sourness kind of builds in aftertaste (very long). Dregs destined for 2026 ‘Maggot Brain’

This is right good SB12 clone. After a year of gushers now realising it needed laying down for 18 months. Or got lucky on this one. Milk chocolate nose. Chocolate on mouth then stone fruits back to chocolate and creamy balanced finish. Smooth. Figgy.

Dropped brighter. Good persistent white head. Dark amber colour. Vegetal notes gone. Not sour. Very dry indeed. Plums evident but not in that synthetic way. Mouthwatering saison.
