Just to sketch in a bit more plot:

When they get to Hollywood with only a few really really GOOD songs and about five thousand dedicated fans online, they're scared and all they have is each other. They get really really close.

There's always been chemistry between all of them, stemming from the time when they first became friends and Zayn liked Niall, who liked Justin, who liked Zayn. They've since talked that out and gotten through it, but it still lingers.

As they become more famous, they get closer-but not too close for fear of upsetting their balance. Any time there's two alone without the third, the one who's alone is always wondering if they're going to realize how great they are without him. Not that they don't all know they love each other, just that with all that unrequited love stuff having gone down, it's hard not to think about. okay, that's complicated, I'll figure it out later.

Each of them ends up dating a Hollywood personalty  but it doesn't last long. Zayn falls head over heels for Little Mix's Perrie Edwards, and then for the previously (part 1) mentioned pop prince Louis Tomlinson, but both relationships end in close friendship.

Niall ends up in a close bromance and then romance with the previously mentioned indie rocker Harry Styles. They don't take their relationship public, and after they break up they stay close. Harry eventually comes out and starts dating Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.

This leads to Niall meeting Nick's DJ friend Liam, which leads to Justin meeting him. Which leads to a sweet, adorable relationship. But then Liam get serious really quickly and Justin panics and acts like a dick and cheats on him with Selena Gomez, who wants nothing to do with him afterwards.

so it comes down to just the three of them against the world, doesn't it?

where they're all in a band together that a starts out in high school and explodes during their first year of collage. eventually educations are abandoned as they set off into the whirlwind of Hollywood.

They met in detention and they run through bass players like they do ex-boyfriends.

none of them were too into the idea of going to collage for four years and finding dead-end jobs, so they put most of their energy into the bad even though everyone tells them dreams like that don't work out.

At graduation, they tell their parents that yes, they've given up on the band and their going to collage. but Niall's at the community collage, Justin's at a nearby trade school to become a carpenter, and Zayn got into the local university  they're still close by each other, so most weekends they sneak together and have a practice.

right so i read this narry fic where zayn and niall were a band and harry louis liam were a band, and they were chart rivals nad then harry and niall fell in love. But it was really short and it made me sad that it was so short and now I think we need more battle of the band aus with that sort of premise.

okay but there needs to be a Justin Bieber model au like YESTERDAY.

So maybe Harry is a photographer? and he can't get any "credible" photography jobs so he's interning at a photography magazine but he has a tragically embarrassing side-job. idk what it is, it could be a studio or a magazine or whatever but the point of it is he's photographing cute half-naked boys for a living.

and Harry's so completely ashamed to work there instead of doing 'actual art' photography. Only his best friend at his internship, Nick, knows about it, and teases him ENDLESSLY.

At the magazine, he's friends with Niall, who somehow, despite his perpetually just-rolled-out-of-bed-with-a-hangover-frat-boy appearance  is a wardrobe genius. All the boys want to work with him. The nicest, most fun hairstylist there is Perrie, and the makeup expert is a buff guy named Liam whom everyone teases for looking like one of the models.

Harry has become quite good friends with two of the models, Louis and Zayn, who let him photograph them for his blog.
Louis has developed a crush on Nick after Harry mentioned that a friend at work saw some photos of him on the blog and thought he was gorgeous. From then on Louis constantly steals Harry's phone to prank text Nick or make dumb comments on Nick's instagram, and NIck pretends to be annoyed by he loves it, really.

Zayn is constantly in a state of melodrama because he can't decide if he loves Liam or Perrie more. It's a whole dilemma.

ANYWAY

I know nothing about this industry that may or may not even exist that I'm attempting to write about. So let's pretend there's this hierarchy, where the top models get to pick the photographers they like. So there are some models that Harry has never even seen, because he's new.
After he becomes friends with Zayn and Louis, he starts to go up a little in this system (which means more money), because they're two of the most popular.

Now, Harry's always hearing them talk about their friend Justin.
Louis is always crowing about some great prank he and Justin just pulled on Niall and how Harry totally should have been there.
Zayn's always going shopping with Justin or Justin is teaching him to skate or he and Justin are staying in to style each other's hair and bake cookies.
And the one time Harry asks Niall what's the deal with this Justin guy, Niall starts blushing and stuttering and practically runs away.

Harry figures he'll never meet this guy, because Justin's favorite photographer is a guy named Usher, who has an actual legitimate photography career but is friends with Justin and loves to come by and shoot him, and likes what the magazine pays for his photos.

One day, Harry shows up for his studio time and finds a guy with big brown eyes and diamond earrings getting touched up in Liam's chair. Justin's photographer is having a baby, and has jetted off to some exotic local with his baby mama to-be. So he decided to try this new guy Louis and Zayn won't shut up about. He doesn't get what's the big deal: lots of hair and tight jeans. So what? He thinks Zayn and Louis might have gone insane. They keep talking about Harry being SWEET, and kind, and charming  and lovable. Adjectives Justin has certainly heard directed toward himself but would never use for THIS guy. Harry is surly and impatient and doesn't let Justin do anything fun. He does things for everyone else without a second though, but he won't do a thing Justin says. He's fucking pretentious, and rude, and he has favorites (Louis and Zayn). To put it simply, he's a fucking douchebag and Justin doesn't like him.

For his part, even though Harry himself has charmed the pants off of everyone there, he doesn't like the way Justin gets fawned over. Apparently the fact that Justin looks like a mischievous, androgynous fairy (an ACTUAL one, from a children's story) have made him very popular with the public, to the point that he basically gets away with murder. He climbs on things and makes up words and he's bossy. He's rich because he's been modeling since he came out of the womb. l  He can't do catwalk because of his height (or they say he can't. it immediately becomes clear that Justin is set on trying anyway) but he's working the young male beauty circuit for all it's worth.
He drives a different car every day, uses excessive amounts of hair product and wears too much jewelry, and no one sees him in the same shoes twice. He's dated a few young hollywood royals: Miley Cyrus, Siva Kaneswaran‎, and therefore sometimes gets hounded by actual paparazzi
He's loud and he picks when he wants to be nice and who he wants to be nice to, he doesn't listen to anybody or obey any rules, and everyone is on his side and basically he's a fucking douchebag and Harry hates him.

AND NOW! I NEED! AN ACTUAL! PLOT!

okay so over the story they come to respect each other, especially after intervention from their friends to stop playing tug of war.

When they first meet there are some huge blowout fights that are kept under wraps or else they'll both lose their jobs. They have to convince Simon (director of this whole thing whatever it is)  that they get along fine and that has them spend a little time together. They don't LIKE each other, but over time a mutual physical attraction develops. And then they sleep together and things get awkward around the studio for awhile. And so because things are awkward they try not to torment each other that much, which leads to both of them seeing less of the bad sides of each other. And okay, Justin can see how Harry could be called sweet. and okay, Harry can see where Justin's kind of charming.

so there has to be a progression of that throughout events idk i'll figure it out.

• Also for soemt reason I've had thoughts about Justin with Ezra Miller and Kit Harington. So I guess that probably means I think Justin would look good with a pretty actor with lush dark hair and a beard.
