Of cell phones and driving the distance...
Yesterday I got off of work fairly early and had decided to be somewhat productive for the day, what a surprise. Well, that didn't really happen though I did get to do something I've been wanting for a while. My contract with T-Mobile ended sometime in November (I knew because they started sneding me letters that said things like "sign up with us for another year and we'll give you another 100 minutes a month for the same price you pay now!" and various other offers), but I had decided to hold out and see what I could get in the way of upgrades for my phone etc. So I checked their site for phones and deals and saw some good things, I also looked up what T-Mobile direct dealers were in close vicinity (I was told by someone who used to work for them that a direct dealer can almost always get you a better deal than an authorized dealer can). Come to find out that there's one in the Salem Center that I could drive to. So I go onto mapquest and get directions to head out there with an idea of which phone I want and I what tems I want it.
After much dificulty getting there (Salem is one confusing fucked up city) I worked my way into a new phone and a car charger for $20. My new phone is a Samsung x495, basically your no frills flip phone but that was basically what I was wanting anyway. Oh and by the way I managed to get another 400 minutes a month for nothing more than I had been paying. I'm happy.
Today I'm going to help Ben with his mas-mas shopping and hopefully I'll stop being so damned lazy and get at least one more sewing project done.
