The camera works with 6.4.0-150600.23.70-default (64-bit).

The important and missing piece of the puzzle was to set up a module configuration file:
/etc/modprobe.d/v4l2loopback.conf
In that file v4l2loopback is then set up (content of the v4l2loopback.conf):
