Whilst your page that you link to seems useful, this really is a link only answer and it would be much better to post both the script and the relevant contents of the page in your answer. Please edit and update your answer.Greenonline– Greenonline2022-03-30 22:43:20 +00:00Commented Mar 30, 2022 at 22:43

While this link may answer the question, it is better to include the essential parts of the answer here and provide the link for reference. Link-only answers can become invalid if the linked page changes. - From ReviewGreenonline– Greenonline2022-03-30 22:43:32 +00:00Commented Mar 30, 2022 at 22:43

Thanks, I wasn't aware that this was frowned upon. Is the situation any different given that the question was explicitly asking for a solution, such as the one I linked to, as opposed to asking for information or details about how it operates? In other words, what kind of "essential parts of the answer" should I include here, since they weren't asking for technical details on how to free space in IMAP folders? Or is it just standard protocol to include some details about what the link is, how it operates, etc?user272901– user2729012022-03-31 01:56:23 +00:00Commented Mar 31, 2022 at 1:56

This seems fine to me — it doesn’t make sense to include the script in the answer, and there’s some explanation of what it does.Stephen Kitt– Stephen Kitt2022-03-31 04:11:03 +00:00Commented Mar 31, 2022 at 4:11

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. shell-script), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
