Snowcase week day 6!! Alternate Universe!
Human AU!!
I hc Sam to be biologically a mix of Chinese and Indian, but moved to Europe when he was like 5-7.
Then Kit is full blown American, from Texas or Arizona.
I also haven't drawn humans in a while so it's not as good as I'd like it to be but whachu gonna do??
I tried real hard to get it out on time but it’s only a little late T-T
I’ve only seen it once so forgive me for not saying more—
—but my favorite sequence is by far the part where ROZ is watching Brightbill finally take flight, and she looks up to try and see him as he gets farther away, but then her view of Brightbill is blocked by the pop-up screen saying “Task Complete.”
And she has to rush after him to get her final look, because of that. Because the Task was getting in the way of her seeing him.
I love when Raphael is just kind of the feminist of the group. Like I love when he just weirdly *gets it* easier than his brothers or Splinter.
Like that moment when they go back in time and see Oroku Saki trying to lure Tang Shen to him, Mikey says "Wait, Shredder was a good guy?" and Raphael replies "no, he was a creep." Means EVERYTHING TO ME.
And it's important to me because it showcases how much he isn't like the Shredder.
In various different versions of tmnt, Leonardo and Raphael are treated as mirrors of Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki. They're both hot tempered, like to fight, and even wield weapons that somewhat resemble each other.
But the Shredder, at the end of the day, is a creep. He is an entitled man who refused to take no from a woman. Every bit of anger he has is from a place of selfish entitlement.
Raphael get's mad when others are hurt, he gets mad when others are treated badly. His anger most frequently comes from a place of care, and when it does come from somewhere more selfish, he generally feels bad about it fairly quickly afterword's. Because he values his family.
So yeah, I like it when Raphael is accidently the feminist of the group. Because GOD does it show how different he actually is from Shredder.
We should also note that when the turtles were trying to persuade Tang Shen to pick Yoshi (Splinter) instead of Saki (Shredder) it was Raph who advices Shen to follow her heart, he doesn’t tell her who to pick, he just tells her that she knows who the good man is and he’s trusting that she’ll make the right choice on her own, and she takes Raph’s advice and picks Yoshi!
Raph also constantly calls out Donnie’s creepy behavior towards April in the early seasons, never sees his female opponents as lesser fights he instead treats them as equals, and he loves that Mona Lisa is stronger and better fighter than him, never once showing any sign that he feels his masculinity is being friended. He embraces the princess treatment she gives him XD
