After a decade working with software and technology customers and helping them on their AWS journey, I'm thrilled to be bringing that experience to our Enterprise customers as they navigate the opportunity ahead. The Travel & Hospitality industry is at a genuine inflection point. The rapid evolution of AI, particularly the shift toward agentic systems, is opening up possibilities that simply weren't there a year ago. I'm looking forward to partnering with customers as they figure out how to capitalise on this moment. I'd like to thank the many leaders I've had the privilege of learning from along the way, especially Paddy Fitzpatrick and Liam McClary. A huge thank you to Miguel Alava for trusting me to lead AWS's ISV segment across UKI, a billion-dollar-plus business, over the past few months. And equally to Alison Kay and Jackie Crandell for their backing and sponsorship as I move into this new role. When I moved across from pre-sales to account management, I wasn't sure that my skills would transfer and I would struggle. And on a personal level I did. But I have had the support and advice of a great group of people, and work for an organisation that has a clear mandate and direction, so I'm incredibly proud to have achieved it. I’ve been very fortunate that for the past two months I’ve had time to recharge and relfect before the next exciting chapter, but here’s what I know at the end of this one. Culture I joined AWS because a former colleague told me I’d love the culture! I wasn’t sure what that meant until I dove into the Leadership Principles. I grilled him on how real these “things” were. Not only were they very real, they were very lived! While all LPs were made equal, Earns Trust was always the one that resonated most with me - without trust you don’t have the right to be Customer Obsessed or Dive Deep in their business or build a team who will follow you through the difficult ups and downs. Customers I had the honour of managing Irish based but globally focused SMB, Digital Native, SaaS and Strategic AI customers. I was continuously humbled by the intellect, passion, drive and energy from the companies as well as the relentless focus on delivering world class outcomes for their customers. My job was to try match even a percentage of that energy and be relentless on their behalf. No other single entity has taught me more than these incredible companies. Team From the dedicated account team on Intercom, my immediate ISV team (glamping friends!) in Ireland, the wider brilliant UK & EMEA ISV teams and business partners, the overall team based in Ireland and my dedicated colleagues on the Irish Women @ Amazon Board - you have made this time one of incredible growth, personal transformation and great craic! We have worked hard, played harder and done incredible work together that I am immensely proud of. I know you’ll continue to raise the bar. Leadership Leaders are not simply those with manager, director or VP in their titles. Leaders are those who are willing to ask the difficult (or silly) questions because they know others in the room don’t feel their voice is strong enough. Leaders are those who seek the opinions of the quiet individiual in the meeting. Leaders are those that will go to bat for their team and truly come out swinging! I’ve had the privilege of working with great colleagues who are leaders but a special shout out to Lorna Brady, Stephen Denver, Mark Dunleavy, the Remarkable Roz Gibson and Mo Das (albeit too brief). You all challenged me to grow and learn more than any other period of my career and with it, I found immense joy. Thank you.
