Filipa Neto shared thisWhat a magical night ✨ Last week, CHANEL and 528Hz co-hosted an evening on deep tech and the deeply human. Generous minds, unguarded conversation, and the kind of moments that linger. Special thank you to Daniel Hulme, Stephen Canfield, Tim Brown, Kor Kajanaku and Matthieu Lorrain for the brilliant talks that set the tone - and to everyone who joined us. And to Clara Lindh - grateful to build this with you.Filipa Neto shared this528Hz & CHANEL hosted our community for a dinner around deep tech and the deeply human. We heard from Stephen Canfield (led marketing and brand at WeTransfer and Airbnb) who gave a business masterclass and then treated us to his new music, from Daniel Hulme (Chief AI Officer at WPP; 2x unicorn founder), from our portfolio founders Tim Brown, Kor Kajanaku, and Matthieu Lorrain, and CHANEL’s Filipa Neto. Thank you to all our LPs and portfolio founders who flew in for it and to our co-host — such a privilege to have some of the world’s brightest (and kindest) minds in our LP base and portfolio, and to partner with a house as iconic as CHANEL.

Filipa Neto shared thisWhat a privilege to co-host 528Hz first-ever community dinner with CHANEL—a celebration of creativity, connection, and the magic of a summer evening 🌞✨ Nights like this remind me of the incredible power of community—the energy, the ideas, and the connections that spark when inspiring people come together. A special thank you to Clara Lindh for the great partnership and to everyone who made the evening unforgettable ✨Filipa Neto shared this528Hz hosted our first community dinner, co-hosted with CHANEL, to celebrate creativity, togetherness, and summer! Some highlights: — Damian Bradfield (founder of WeTransfer) on zigging when others zag, and why aspirational leadership matters more than ever — Mati Staniszewski (founder of ElevenLabs) made 3 predictions about how voice and AI will shape what’s next — Sabrina Elba reminded us of the power of storytelling—and its role in empowerment — Laura Herman (head of AI research at Adobe) on building tools that creatives actually love — Ignacio Bachiller Ströhlein (founder of Fever) spoke about one of my favourite topics—bringing people together—and how he scaled that into a multibillion-dollar business Thanks to everyone who came through with sun-soaked energy and the openness to collaborate that makes this community special. And a huge thanks to CHANEL and Filipa Neto for partnering with 528. Feeling very lucky to be building with this brilliant bunch :)

Filipa Neto shared thisI recently joined an outstanding group of women to talk about Digital Fashion and FARFETCH OPEN INNOVATION at the #FASHHACK and Effekt London Fashion Week side event. It was a pleasure to meet and hear the thought-provoking perspectives from the brilliant Aleksija Vujicic from Multicoin Capital, Rachel Long-Smith from Effekt, and Madeleine Sarah P. from Newfoundation Thank you, Marina Atarova, for hosting such a fantastic evening. Below are some of the insights shared: 🤝 Digital Fashion is still a highly specialized area where having the right partners is important. At Farfetch, we have been building our Digital Fashion strategy in true partnership with the startup ecosystem. 📈 Within the luxury space, we have seen a clear acceleration in the adoption of 3D & AR experiences driven by customer demand. In the past, most of the use cases were related to advertisement and entertainment, while now it is clear there is a great opportunity to embed these as part of the shopping funnel. 💰 Brands and retailers have transitioned from 3D small-scale projects. They are now looking at a more scaled approach across their catalogs as they see the evolution of the quality of realism, clear ROI, and cost reduction in servicing these experiences. We have seen products with VTO and 3D-enabled experiences by WANNA | 3D, AR & Immersive Experiences driving more engagement and sales. 🤖 The fast-evolving developments within AI are rapidly democratizing 3D content creation and improving the overall experience. AI generative content startups, including Alpha3D and Curie, make it possible to create 3D content faster and more affordable. This is crucial to the scalability, quality, and unit economics of offering these experiences. 🚀 As we look ahead, the next wave of Digital Fashion experiences will go beyond product storytelling to be more community-driven, reinventing the mechanisms of how brands engage with customers. I can’t wait to see where this exciting field takes us next! At Farfetch, we now have open applications for Dream Assembly Basecamp, the FARFETCH x Outlier Ventures accelerator program to support the next wave of entrepreneurs working on web3 luxury commerce #digitalfashion #innovation #partnerships #AR #AI #metaverse

Filipa Neto shared thisFilipa Neto shared thisOur teams at WANNA have developed a technology solution that allows customers to view the 3D model of selected bags on FARFETCH, exploring the details from every angle to better understand the craftsmanship, texture and dimensions. The new feature aims to address a major industry pain point where customers return bags due to unmet size expectations. The experience is currently available globally on Desktop and Mobile Web and will be available soon on the FARFETCH iOS app. Check out the experience for yourself at https://lnkd.in/dTA7K5yr

Filipa Neto liked thisThrilled with the energy, engagement and leading insights in our latest accelerator program to support the beauty, health and wellness founder community!Filipa Neto liked thisGlow Up – a wrap ✨ This week we closed the fourth edition of Glow Up, our accelerator for early-stage founders in #beauty and #wellness. Five sessions, 200+ founders, and an exceptional lineup of speakers. Session 3 – Brand, Positioning and Communication, led by Samantha Conti, Head of London Bureau at WWD. 🗣 The beauty consumer is now as sophisticated as a beauty editor was ten years ago – brands that can't back up their claims are being found out fast. 📣 The brands cutting through share three things: a product that solves a specific problem, authentic content across owned channels, and a community built before the press coverage comes. 📰 On PR – targeted, relevant pitches to the right journalists beat blanket outreach. A solo operator with deep relationships often outperforms a large agency. Session 4 – How to Sell to a Strategic, led by Lidiia Gaiduk and Alejandro Vicente from Vicente & Partners, M&A advisors behind two of the three largest beauty transactions since 2020. 🔍 Timing matters as much as readiness – the alignment of business performance, market conditions and competitive tension is what creates the best outcomes. All three need to come together. 🤝 Make sure vision and values align with the buyer's. The first 12-24 months post-acquisition are critical, and under-promising on projections beats over-promising every time. 📋 Clean cap table, founder retention, and defensible IP are increasingly non-negotiable. Session 5 – How to Raise Money, led by Celia Bosch Torres, Partner at Iris Ventures. 🗺️ Plan ahead – it takes longer than expected and resilience is as important as preparation. 🤝Fundraising is not a solo sport – having the right deck is important. So are warm introductions, competitive tension between term sheets, and the right legal counsel. 💡 A lower valuation from the right investor beats a higher one from the wrong partner. Thank you to all our speakers across the five sessions and to the enthusiasm every founder who joined us brought. 🙌

Why SexTech Companies Should Adopt Cross-Cultural Research in Product Development View My Portfolio Sexual wellness is universal, but user expectations, comfort levels, and sensory preferences vary widely across cultures. As the SexTech industry expands globally, brands that invest in cross-cultural research will design products that resonate across markets—unlocking stronger international growth and broader wellness impact. Cross-cultural research helps companies understand: • Different comfort thresholds and pacing preferences • Varied interpretations of safety, privacy, and emotional readiness • Cultural norms that shape product adoption • What types of guidance or onboarding feel supportive • Material, shape, and UX expectations across regions • The role of sexual wellness within local health or self-care practices For business expansion, this creates major advantages: • More successful international product launches • Alignments with regional retailers and wellness partners • Messaging and education tailored to cultural context • Better market segmentation and customer experience • Reduced friction from cultural misunderstandings or assumptions Companies that ignore cultural nuance often struggle with adoption—even when their products are technically excellent. At V For Vibes we invest in cross-cultural insight because sexual wellness should feel relevant, safe, and accessible no matter where a user lives. Understanding culture is essential to building global trust. #SexTech #VForVibes #GlobalWellness #CrossCulturalResearch #ProductStrategy #MarketExpansion #HealthTech

Innovation in the "Femtech" Space: How Women-Led Startups are Solving Neglected Health Issues. View My Portfolio. For decades, significant aspects of women's health were sidelined as "niche" concerns. No longer. The rise of Femtech—technology-driven health solutions focused on women's needs—is a powerful market correction, and it's being led by women. At V For Vibes, we are inspired by the founders who are turning personal frustration into global innovation. They are building companies that address long-ignored areas, from reproductive health and menstrual care to menopause and sexual wellness. Why does this matter for business? Market Opportunity: Women make 80% of healthcare decisions. This isn't a niche; it's a powerhouse economic engine. Diverse Leadership: Women-led startups bring essential lived experience to the table, creating products that truly resonate. Investment in Impact: Supporting Femtech isn't just good ethics; it's smart economics, funding solutions for half the world's population. The success of Femtech proves that when we diversify leadership, we unlock innovation that changes lives and dominates new markets. #Femtech #WomenInTech #WomenFounders #HealthTech #Innovation #SexualWellness #InvestInWomen #BusinessStrategy #Startups #VForVibes #DigitalHealth

Lots to love in this post from Simardev + team EVERBLOOM along with the associated TechCrunch article (link in comments). • AI in manufacturing & material science - Accelerating EverBloom development cycles from here forward. • Material science for circularity - EverBloom's core tech was developed in labs, not in silica. Still no substitute for our research scientists & critical academic institutions. • Circularity laid bare - This is the first time I've seen EverBloom publicly, plainly state that they can give you cashmere (noble fibers) from frickin' chicken feathers (agricultural waste). 🐔 🪶 Other favorites in this vein: • Assia Kasdi and her team at Milvus Advanced • Katie Marsh and her team at Recupere Metals Full disclosure: EverBloom and Milvus are Tuesday Capital portfolio companies. Unfortunately, Recupere is not. #SustainableMaterials #CircularEconomy

Honoured to speak at the House of Lords, invited by WIRED & AIFA Ventures, Clare Maguire, and Leo Crane, to discuss the future of #AI in film, art, and music industries - with me trying to decode fashion 👘 🛂 We covered everything from Digital Product Passports to AI-generated slop, but here’s what I left the room thinking about: 🧐 Digital fashion’s rise taught us that cultural cachet doesn’t always equal utility. Interoperability and economic models still need work. 😎 Hyper-personalisation is becoming the new luxury - powered by AI. 🫡 I’d regulate the IP behind AI training data and ban the lowest-common-denominator sludge polluting the internet. 🤫 Secret wish? That creators’ avatars become brand-native, IP-embodied agents. 🤪 Not-so-secret hope? DPPs and tracking luxury assets on-chain will shift the luxury industry back to its roots of quality that’s sustainable through generations. Always happy to co-create the future with those bold enough to question the present 🔮

We’re starting to see something interesting in fashion tech: AI isn’t just accelerating workflows, it’s beginning to replace them entirely. In the latest episode of Cutting Edge AI, Robin Harbort and I sat down with Julius Harling from GRASWALD AI. His team is building a digital photo studio that allows brands to create full campaign imagery without ever organising a physical shoot. No logistics. No samples. No reshoots. What stood out to me is the technical approach: GRASWALD trains its generative models on synthetic data and can dress digital avatars in real garments with remarkable precision. For founders, this is a reminder: when a process becomes model-driven, it doesn’t just get cheaper: it becomes programmable. And when it becomes programmable, entirely new business models appear. If you’re curious about where creative production is heading, it’s a great conversation. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/dSJYrxXK Let me know what you think!

In 2025, 40% of luxury goods were sold at a discount, hurting sector profits, as consumers reassess the value of designer products, following years of price increases. This discounting has cut industry margins to a 15-year low, excluding the Covid pandemic, amid a sluggish market for shoes and handbags. More consumers are opting for outlet stores instead of paying full price in boutiques. While some discounts appear in designers’ own boutiques, this is less common for top labels. According to Bain, “When consumers step back from paying full price, it is less a sign of frugality and more a clear message that the price-to-value equation in luxury has drifted out of balance.” Luxury groups implemented significant price increases during the post-pandemic sales boom, with prices on many products now 1.5x-1.7x higher than in 2019. Additionally, the pipeline for new hit products in the luxury sector has diminished.

I was a multi brand bridal retailer and I just wrote and posted about this yesterday. This BoF executive memo lays out what is happening across luxury wholesale right now: the model is breaking, brands need to be more strategic about partnerships, and the old way of allocating inventory is not working anymore. BoF is telling luxury brands to be more selective and strategic. I agree. But selectivity without intelligence is still guessing. Intelligence is how you get there. This is a layered problem. Dressit.ai captures the moment a bride goes from interested to intentional and activates the connection and a system between the designer and the right retail partner.

Great to chat with TechRound about how startups can use AI in a more grounded, sustainable way — and when it’s better not to. We’re seeing more founders think carefully about where AI actually moves the needle versus where it just adds noise. It’s less about using AI everywhere, and more about using it where it actually matters. Thanks Gina Marrs, Zee Yende for this opportunity! Link to a full article in comments👇

My recent coffee conversation with Peter Gallagher-Witham RCA The Fashion Guild... Recently, I sat down with Peter Gallagher-Witham, founder of The Fashion Guild, for a fireside chat about how they’re cutting through the hype in fashion tech to deliver real, measurable results. We discussed how The Fashion Guild helps brands embrace digital workflow transformation, turning patterns into accurate 2D/3D assets, cutting sampling costs by up to 50% and speeding time-to-market by 20–30%. Their exclusive UK/EU licence for DSEAMS a breakthrough seam-free technology set to transform performance apparel and footwear. Peter’s focus is on measurable ROI, faster development cycles, and sustainability without added cost. If you’re in design, sourcing, development, or innovation, it’s worth a look. #FashionTech #3DDesign #Sustainability #Innovation

🌍 Circular Fashion Becomes Verified Carbon Credits At Vestiaire Collective, we are proud to lead the way as the first resale platform to turn circular fashion into certified carbon credits, in partnership with Inuk. It is a new generation carbon credit standard that certifies high-quality decarbonization projects with precise, transparent tracking of avoided emissions. How does it work? 🌱When you buy pre-loved fashion on Vestiaire Collective instead of buying new, we prevent emissions. ✅This positive impact is now certified as tradable carbon credits. 🔄Revenues will be reinvested in activities that strengthen the scale and robustness of our avoided emissions. This is more than a financial innovation—it’s proof that circular fashion delivers tangible, measurable impact at global scale. It demonstrates that sustainability is not just a cost center but also a driver of long-term value creation. The future of fashion is circular. And it’s accelerating.

How will Chinese ecommerce giants pursue growth plans in Europe and the US? JD.COM's Richard Liu says "“Internationalisation is paramount for our future." Their acquisition of Argos fell through. Will they pursue other retailers? Or ecommerce logistics targets? Meanwhile, what will SHEIN, TikTok Shop, Temu, Alibaba Group and their competitors do? I expect to see a string of acquisitions in the coming year. The trade wars add complexity, but the market opportunities are too large to ignore. https://lnkd.in/eXdbgvyQ
