Emma Neary shared thisThis report is a really interesting read for anyone in HR. Having recently evolved our organisational plan at Priory it's reassuring to see the similarity in the key themes raised in this report as we have in our Priory Plan. Areas such as building colleague and leadership capabilities for now and the future; a focus on colleague engagement and wellbeing; and driving the digital agenda. These priorities will continue to help our teams help the people in our care to regain their quality of life and independence. Thanks to Hung Lee for sharing this in this weeks Recruiting Brainfood newsletter. For anyone who doesn't receive this I can highly recommend it - always insightful and well worth a look each week. https://lnkd.in/eVh_28fDFour Power Moves for the CHRO: Creating People Advantage 2026Four Power Moves for the CHRO: Creating People Advantage 2026

Emma Neary shared thisThroughout our professional lives we forge many partnerships. In my case it’s been agency, employer brand and technology partners and more recently an RPO partner. Some of these partnerships really stick with me as they stand out for being trusted partnerships which have added value to both parties. They’ve been borne out of a mutual investment of time to understand each others needs and how best to work together. They’ve come from a place of positive intent where each party has recognised the benefit of long term mutually beneficial relationships above short term gain. I feel a wider appreciation post coming this way shortly for some of those partners (!) but, for now, I want to recognise and celebrate the partnership Priory has developed with Cielo Talent. Today marks the start of our second year of working together. The team at Cielo have been helping us with hiring Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants and from the very first conversation I had with them back in 2023, their supportive approach has been consistent and we have achieved great things together. I have spoken with many of the Cielo team since we started working together and there are so many to call out but I would like to shout out the following for making a difference and extend my gratitude for your support: Marita Hazeldene Ruth Walker Andy Curlewis Hema Morjaria Anna Babre Zara Rosewarne Daniel Sessions Emma Hydes Cassie Pike Astrid Eckstein Jared Best Jayne McLaren, Jennifer Santoleri

Emma Neary posted this💥 Following yesterday's post, and much digging, someone hacked my account and set up a recruiter license on my account to what I imagine is a fictitious company. They then set up multiple projects and sent messages to hundreds of people yesterday asking them to click on a link about a board level role for Revolut. As you can see, I work at Priory and have nothing to do with Revolut. I have seen hundreds of people showing their interest in the role with some questioning its authenticity. Despite trying to contact LinkedIn multiple ways they have offered no support. I have found how to remove myself from the fictitious company's contract, changed my password and have set up two factor authentication. I am sharing this to raise awareness. Please be very careful about who you interact with and what links you click on.

Emma Neary shared thisI was very pleased to join Johnny and Chris recently discussing healthcare recruitment as part of The Hiring Excellence Podcast. The healthcare industry is certainly an interesting place to be right now. It's keeping me on my toes as a leader and it's an industry I love working in. It even got me out of my comfort zone to talk about this in my first ever podcast - thanks for having me Johnny! #socialtalent #healthcarerecruitmentEmma Neary shared thisSpeaking with Chris and Emma reminded me just how intricate healthcare recruiting really is. It’s not just about filling roles. It’s about ensuring continuity of care, patient safety, and sustainable staffing models. Their insights on collaboration between private and public healthcare, brand building, and growing internal talent pipelines show the real strategy behind essential hiring. A conversation packed with lessons for every recruiter.

Emma Neary shared thisI'm proud to work for a business that supports over 28,000 people every year, helping them to get the most from life. Part of what we do at Priory is support people with addictions and today we launch our Break The Chain campaign to raise awareness of addictions that can run within families and how to seek support. If you know someone who needs help, please take a look at the campaign. You'll find advice for people struggling with addiction but also for families who are looking to support their loved ones. #PrioryBreakTheChain #LiveYourLife #AddictionEmma Neary shared this✨ We’re proud to launch our new campaign, 𝘉𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘒 THE CHAIN, going live today. This campaign shines a light on the cycle of addiction across generations. Addiction can run in families, but it doesn’t have to define the future. Emma Neary reacted on thisEmma Neary reacted on thisLife looks very very different now. I move differently. I speak differently. Some things take longer. Some things are harder than they used to be. But I still have something to say. Next Tuesday, I’ll be presenting a TED-style talk I wrote to fellow patients and staff called A Glass Half Full - which is pretty fitting really. This week also included me attempting a full and half press-up… and spectacularly face planting into the grass 😅 I also got more symbolic tattoos to accompany my lotus flower. Little reminders of survival, growth and who I’m becoming. And at the end of July, I’ll be taking on “Coma to 5k” here at the facility - walking laps to raise money for The Brain Charity (link below ;) The plan is to split the distance across four days: 10 laps a day. One step at a time. A year ago, none of this felt imaginable. Life may look different now. But I’m still here. Still rebuilding. Still moving forward even though I am slower than before. https://lnkd.in/e3_MJguZ

Emma Neary liked thisSuch an important event at the House of Lords sponsored by The Baroness Finlay of Llandaff, who has championed social care over the years. Nice to have a photo with her.Emma Neary liked thisPriory chief executive Rebekah Cresswell has welcomed Care England’s new report, ‘The Power of Care: The system behind our society’, which calls for a fundamental shift in how adult social care is understood, funded and supported. It states adult social care must be viewed as “essential national infrastructure” and not as a “peripheral or residual service” associated only with crisis, decline or a small section of the population. Rebekah – who is a founder member of Care England’s Working Age Adult Policy Board, which aims to ensure the needs of working-age adults in social care settings remain a priority at the highest levels of decision-making – attended the report’s launch in Parliament on Thursday (7 May). “At Priory, we see every day how important working-age adult social care services are to the people we support, to their families and loved ones, and to the wider communities they serve. “It is our privilege to support people to remain independent, to live their lives, to achieve dreams they never thought they would and to thrive.” - Rebekah Cresswell Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e99m3fZf

Emma Neary reacted on thisThanks to everyone at Which? for the warm welcome. I’m thrilled to be joining such a talented bunch of people at this iconic, mission driven organisation.Emma Neary reacted on thisWe are delighted to welcome Hannah Linforth to the Which? leadership team as our new group people director. Hannah brings a wealth of experience in leading transformational change and building inclusive, high-performing cultures at major organisations including Money Supermarket Group, the BBC and Channel 4. Her expertise in content-driven environments is the perfect match for Which?, especially as we enter a pivotal chapter in refreshing our 2030 strategy. At her core, she’s a leader who listens. She says ‘I’m most excited to meet everyone and start learning about the culture, what makes Which? tick and where I can help create positive change. I’m a big believer that the best ideas come from the people closest to the work, so I’ll be asking a lot of questions early on.’ When we asked her what one thing she’d change for consumers tomorrow, her answer was clear: eliminating scammers. ‘The damage they cause, particularly to the most vulnerable, goes far beyond financial loss. The impact is devastating, it erodes trust, creates fear, and causes people to withdraw when they need help the most’. Welcome to the team, Hannah. We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll have on our people and our mission.

💷 £292m Allocated for GP Recruitment – Are Practices Ready to Use It? 💷 Under the 2026/27 GP contract changes, £292 million has been set aside specifically to support practices in bringing in more GPs or increasing GP clinical sessions. This funding represents a real chance for practices to strengthen their clinical workforce and improve capacity. However, its impact depends entirely on whether practices are able to turn the funding into actual hires and additional sessions. With patient demand continuing to grow and national expectations around access becoming more challenging, expanding GP capacity is becoming increasingly important. Practices that start thinking about recruitment now will be better positioned, particularly as competition for available GPs continues to intensify across the UK. Soka Partners are already in touch with many GPs across the UK who are open to a new salaried or locum role, so we are well positioned to provide support. 📩 If you would be interested in having a chat about how we can help, get in touch: 📱 07880 996257 📧 jason.dunn@soka-partners.com #GPRecruitment #PrimaryCare #GeneralPractice #GPJobs

Industry Shake-Up: DRC Locums Declares Bankruptcy – What We Can All Learn Today, one of the UK’s largest and longest-standing healthcare staffing firms, DRC Locums, has declared bankruptcy. This is not just industry news but a powerful reminder to every agency, director, consultant, recruiter, and leader in our space. When a giant falls, the ground shakes. And when the ground shakes, professionals who are listening learn. Here are the hard truths this moment teaches us: 1. No company, no matter how established, is future-proof. Market conditions, pricing pressures, margin erosion, funding changes, and procurement shifts can bring down even the strongest brands. 2. Reputation is not a business model. Yesterday’s contracts won’t pay tomorrow’s payroll. In recruitment, you must constantly innovate, diversify, and deliver competitive value – every single day. 3. Cashflow is king, but forecasting is the throne it sits on. In healthcare recruitment especially, delayed payments, rising compliance costs, and shrinking margins make financial discipline a survival skill. 4. Clients and candidates remember how you behave when times are tough. In our industry, your brand isn’t your logo – it’s how people feel after working with you. 5. Complacency kills. If a market leader can crumble, that means the rest of us must stay sharper, smarter, more agile, and more operationally disciplined. As a director in the healthcare recruitment sector, I see this not as gossip – but as a wake-up call to the entire market: Stay lean. Stay innovative. Stay financially aware. Treat every contract like it must be earned again tomorrow. Never assume your company is too big to fail or too small to matter. When a firm the size of DRC Locums falls, the lesson is not in their collapse – but in the reality that the recruitment landscape is changing faster than many are adapting. We don’t control the market. We only control how prepared we are when the market shifts. To every agency owner and recruiter reading this: May this be the moment we look at our systems, our spending, our processes, our value proposition, and our resilience – and level them up. What happened to DRC Locums is business history. What we learn from it becomes our competitive advantage. #Recruitment #HealthcareRecruitment #IndustryNews #Leadership #BusinessStrategy #Resilience

💥 Recruitment Reimagined… Contingent recruitment is a dead end for SME agencies. It’s unpredictable, unprofitable and unsustainable. The agencies still clinging to it? They’re watching opportunity pass them by. At NorthStar People, we’ve helped ambitious recruitment leaders break free — shifting to committed, retained, subscription and project RPO models that create genuine partnership, guaranteed revenue and consistent delivery. And the results speak for themselves: ⭐️ Fill rates up from 50% → 85% 🔁 1/3 of total revenue now recurring 📈 Volume projects of 8, 18 and 24 roles – all on 100% guaranteed fees This isn’t theory. It’s transformation — already happening inside agencies just like yours. If you’re ready to build a stronger, smarter and more sustainable business, reach out to me, co-founder at NorthStar People… it’s what we do. 🔥 The future belongs to agencies who commit — not those who gamble.

💚 Complex Care in the UK: Progress or Just Promises? 💚 This month’s updates from across the NHS and local government have Clover Care Group Ltd thinking deeply about what “complex care” really means in 2025. On one hand, we are hearing big commitments: 🟩 Personalised care plans for all with complex needs by 2027 🟩 Community hubs integrating physical, mental and social care 🟩 Digital tools to support autonomy and real time support But when we talk to frontline teams, or families juggling multiple services, and you still hear the same struggles: 🟩 Delays in assessments 🟩 Gaps between health and social care 🟩 Exhausted carers holding it all together A new report shows local authorities are being pushed to fill NHS funding gaps for Continuing Healthcare, stretching already strained social care budgets to the limit. So yes, the ambition is there. But is the infrastructure? The workforce? The trust between services? If you are working in complex care, whether as a clinician, social worker, commissioner, or carer, I would love to hear what is actually working where you are. What is helping people live better lives? #ComplexCare #NHS #SocialCare #IntegratedCare #HealthAndCare #CHC #CoProduction #LeadershipInCare #PersonalisedCare

As I approach my third decade in Staffing some lessons to Leaders and Aspriring Leaders only 6 as this isn’t a sermon…. -Coachability is the most underrated quality in your Staff. All of your teams should be assessed externally on this one quality because then you can increase their ceiling. -Do not wear your face. Bad things happen on any given day but be in control or at least appear in control. The bigger your company gets the more problems you will have. Enjoy them. -You must evolve. Embrace and be as good as you can on AI. Use coaches who are the best you can afford on all areas of your life that matter to you. Be better tomorrow. -Earn on your journey. If you will only make meaningful money when you exit then rewrite the script or just become a lifestyle business (no shame in that). Pick a figure and after 3 years make sure you earn it per year. Dont get involved in some Fugazi Recruitment scheme. -Be aware of who you are and what you offer. If you have 20 staff but 2 Top billers earn more than 70% of your total commission something isn’t working. The reality of your firm/shop might be delightful mediocrity. -Don’t get obsessed with Linked In or others. By all means be aware. Anyone who posts every other day on how great they are probably isn’t. Leaders can be vulnerable without always having an angle. Taking videos of yourself-good grief and do one. Anyways no agenda here I’m not hawking any product or service just musing !

If you run healthcare recruitment like a cost centre, it will behave like one. Ben and I were lucky to host a webinar with the brilliant Chris and Emily from our partner DHU Healthcare who explained why and how they flipped that script. It was so good we decided to make it on-demand! By moving spend out of spray and pray job boards into AI powered social campaigns, they: 👉 Cut time to start from 98 to 59 days 👉 Took retention from 36% to 74% 👉 Grew from 1 to 20 clinical offers a month 👉 Unlocked over £2.5m in recruitment cost benefit All in one of the toughest hiring markets there is, across clinical and NHS 111 roles. Emily and Chris walked us through the system behind those numbers, from always on campaigns for passive clinicians to the data that lets you turn hiring from reactive to repeatable. If you are under pressure to fill shifts, protect care standards and prove ROI on every pound of hiring spend, this is worth half an hour of your week. 🔗 Sign up here to learn how DHU unlocked £2.5m in recruitment cost benefits and cut time to start by 40% - https://lnkd.in/eQZwUSRq #healthcarerecruitment #NHSjobs #talentacquisition #recruitmentmarketing #HRtech
