Per part of the message I got back in one of my emails to Reserve America:
"We do not cancel or change any reservation through a web mail request. Please call Customer Service at 877-612-1100 about this reservation."
I called the number and held until someone picked up. It was very smooth, the gentleman was very nice about it, and I was provided a full refund of the $31.00 I was charged for my one site for the 13th through the 15th. I was not charged a $9.00 cancellation fee.
I don't know if Eric L has had any luck in getting them to automatically refund all of us which have made reservations for the invalid date, but if it turns out you need to call yourself, do it quickly just to be sure you don't run into any technicalities that cause your call experience to be more difficult.
I will continue to be a Reserve America customer, and am looking forward to a summer of camping here-and-there.
I have received official word from the state office that manages Devil's Hopyard that the campground is not open until April 20th. I will be calling Reserve America this afternoon for my particular reservation, asking for a full refund, including the $9.00 cancellation fee, since the reservation is wholly invalid. I will let you know how that goes.
From the results of the poll, its almost evenly split (for the few who have responded to the LJ and Yahoo! polls combined) on preference for before or on Easter weekend. Unfortunately, the CT Department of Parks and Recreation is unanimous on their lack of open-ness before Easter weekend. Sorry I forgot to do this research last night when I set up the original polls. Please continue with this poll. Results will be tallied at the PODS afterparty during a little "ok, this is the date" Q&A session I will hold (and then post teh rezultz).

Hello again. As it turns out, no state park is open before Easter Weekend in CT this year. As a result, I am running another poll.
Ok, all Beltaine money is do this Thursday with no exceptions. If for whatever reason you can not pay then you MUST talk to me PERSONALLY so that I can evaluate the situation and find an appropriate solution. The following people are going to Beltaine:
Rene, Jon, Brendan, Sharon, Sam Kim, Amanda, Sharayah, Matt Riggs, Melissa, Raff, Ray, Mary, Sarah, Steve, Roger, Eric the Elven, Brendan Miles, Katelyn Pratt, Cid, Schnapp, Ian, Jess (Bob) and Jessica's unidentified four friends.
Some of you have payed already and I thank you greatly for that. The rest though owe money, you all should know who you are (Amanda you are fine now by the way).
We have also discussed Cars. There are 11 cars total going that will be staying onsite, leaving us with room for extra cars if needed which is fine. We believe all but the following are fine for rides:
Cid, Schnapp, Ian, Jessica, and Jessica's unidentified four friends.
If anyone wants to claim them for driving, you will have the ability to do so on Thursday.
For tents we believe that the following people have extra space THAT WE KNOW OF in their tents:
Raff (4 spaces), Eric (4 spaces), Sam (1 space), Roger (4 spaces)
Those tents alone are able to accomodate the remainder of people who we think do not have tents right now which would be the following (making the assumption that Rene and Jon have their own tent):
Ray, Mary, Katelyn, Cid, Schnapp, Jessica, and Jessica's unidentified four friends.
That leaves plenty of space, and only takes into accounts the tents that we currently know exist.
Food is already being bought. If you want any form of junk food, you best bring it yourself though because there is no junk food on our grocery list this year...you have been warned.
We will discuss Beltaine in depth tommorow but those are just some heads up for all of you to prepare and GET TWENTY DOLLARS OUT OF THE BANK AND INTO MY HANDS!!! *sigh* That is all.
