I lead a mostly boring life, working, thinking, reading, etc. My online life is much more colorful. I'm involved in the Anthro-community and I draw Fantasy art, usually featuring gryphons. I also have some stories I wrote for the Transformers universe at fanfiction.net. I also play way too much World of Warcraft with my husband. :-)

People have asked me, "Why a Gryphon?"

Answer: I love cats, I love birds (especially raptors). I've looked at art from years ago, and saw even as a child that gryphons were a featured subject of my pencil scribblings. Gryphons are majestic, magical, and some cultures liken them to an analogy of Christ as God/Heavenly/Eagle and Man/Earthly/Lion. When I found the Gryphon Guild several years ago, I joined and found my avatar.

Tyrrlin-the-Gryphon has gone through a few minor changes over the years, and I feel that she best represents my inner self through form, color, and mythology.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER
Name: Tyrrlin
Gender: Female

Forequarters: Golden Eagle
Hindquarters: Asian Lion
Eyes: Dark Emerald Green
Description: Tyrrlin is an average-sized gryphon, muscular/stocky rather than narrow. Her 'burd' coloring is a medium-cinnamon brown shading. The front of her neck and chest are white with brown speckles, and her beak and cere are browny-golden. Her most outstanding feature is her crest. It's almost like a moveable/floofable coif of hair, somewhat long and flame red/golden in color. Her front feet are eagle's feet and talons, same color as the beak with black talons, though somewhat handlike with a double-jointed type thumb.

Tyrrlin's wings are large, darkish cinnamon brown on top with the last set of pinions red. The middle coverts are golden in color. The undersides of her wings are brown and the last set of pinions are a soft white with brown banding (middle under-coverts can also be gold). She has a lion's tail with tailfeathers at the tip. The tail feathers mimic a darker version of Tyrrlin's crest...flame red-golden.
Her lion half is a typical golden-brown/caramel lion color with a white belly.

Accessories (clothing, jewlery, weapons, etc): None, usually, but I'm flexible
