Description:
A room for natives and friends of natives who feel left out
Two-Spirit is a term that is used by several Native American groups to refer to homosexual, bisexual, transsexual and transvestite individuals who wanted a place at the drum. Two-Spirits are diverse, they are male, female, intersexed, hermaphrodite, cross-dressers, but what unites them is that they do not fit neatly into the "Me Man, me kill buffalo. Me Woman, me cook bread" framework. This is a place for openness but not necessarily decorum. this is a place for challenging ideas on gender and gender-roles, this is a place for people who feel like they used to have a place and want it back. It is also a place for those curious or interested in the topic, those who care about someone who is two-spirit, or those who are just pagan and exploring what's out there. Everyone is free to say what's on their mind, with a few caveats:

1. Statements made about one's self are unlikely to be screened or removed unless they're pretty terrible. That doesn't mean anyone needs to know about things like personal fetishes just because they felt like mentioning it, have some sense.

2. Statements made about another person may be questioned and/or subject to removal. For example, posts referring to "cis- privilege" or "white privilege" or "whatever privilege", will get a pretty thorough going over. Lumping them into a category of third-party "oppressors" is essentially just dismissive. Saying that someone is saying something that reeks of "entitlement" is frequently valid. If they don't understand, explain. If they refuse to understand, leave it.

3. Threats, physical or otherwise, are an automatic ban, no exceptions.

4. Racist, sexist, transphobic, or homophobic terms or topics are subject to approval. That doesn't mean they're automatically forbidden. Sometimes people think things we don't like, that doesn't mean they don't think them or that we shouldn't discuss them. However, it also doesn't mean it won't be removed if it's way out of line.

5. Marketing is not welcome. Making "traditional beadwork" is great, keep it up. But don't post about it. Talking about how to make something is not the same as telling everyone you've got it for sale. May get a warning, may get a ban, depends on how totally unrelated it is. In the same way, if you're holding or attending a pow-wow or if you have a local group, definitely discuss it, but discuss other things too.

6. Pics and such are gonna have to be pretty good to be allowed.

7. If you want a Skins only group, they're out there.
