Two Rivers Brewery consists of 6 directors – a great team with a range of skills and experience, all coming together over their love of beer. If you want to find out more about the name Two Rivers, read this news post.
Chris Grattan
Introducing Chris, our brewer! Here he is collecting keys for our unit at Glan yr Afon Industrial Estate back in April 2024, think he was pretty excited. He was less excited when he broke his arm (bike accident) on Day 1 of Brewing. More about that another time.
Chris is known for his fantastic shirts, and you may recognise him from working in the Bottle & Barrel or singing absolute hits at the weekly kareoke in the Bank Vault Aberystwyth ![]()
Fav beer? Rauchbier ![]()
Dion Hughes
Introducing Dion, owner of Tafarn Pencei and Hen Fecws in Porthmadog, and manager of The Goat Inn Glandwyfach, St Tudwalls Inn, Abersoch and the Four Alls in Caernarfon.
The link? Dion, Meurig and Emlyn grew up in the same part of the world and are good friends. Dion’s shown his entrepreneurial spirit and we’re chuffed to have him on board, especially with his passion for providing customers great beer.
Favourite beer, Dion prefers his to be crisp and clear – KΓΆlsch his type of choice ![]()
Zac Marsden
For those local to Aberystwyth and fans of craft beer, Zac will likely need no introduction!
Owner of the Bottle & Barrel, and The Bank Vault, human to @bellabottleandbarrel – Zac is also organising Aber Beer Fest ![]()
It’ll come as no surprise that you’ll be able to find our latest brews in Zac’s bars, so make sure you give them both a follow on social media.
You can tell Zac took the Team Intro photo-assignment very seriously.
Zac’s favourite beer is Grissete! How many of you have bagged that style on your Untappd?
Meurig Jones-Evans
Meurig has been dabbling in home brewing for a while, and helping out at Cader Ales on occasions. You can probably tell he takes this very seriously!
Day to day, Meurig works in the law and is the go to man for any legalities and technicalities, with supreme attention to detail.
Originally from Pwllheli, Meurig is also an Aberystwyth University alumni, and now lives on Anglesey.
Fav beer – a large IPA ![]()
Emlyn Jones
Next up – Emlyn! Hailing from Tremadog, Emlyn moved to Aberystwyth in 2007 for University and never left! You might have tried one of his brews before (created with friends and Cwrw Cader Ales) – Y Caban
here he is working on stirring in the hops to our first brew.
Fun fact, Chris’ dad taught Emlyn in University – small world eh.
Fav beer – he says, a nice spicy Belgian blonde ![]()
Kerry Ferguson
Last up… me! Writing a webpage about yourself in the 3rd person is weird so let’s own up…
My name is Kerry Ferguson. Originally from a small village called Cerrigydrudion, I also moved to Aberystwyth in 2007, meeting Emlyn in 2010 during our Masters degree. I now run Gwe Cambrian Web and take firm responsibility for any marketing in our new venture (it’s a case of hands off guys!)
Favourite beer? Imperial stouts all the way, I’m here to support stouts in the summer!
