Finally off to DC!

I finally booked my flight this morning to go visit Mike! I leave the 24th (our monthiversary) and I'll stay up there for a week and a half! Yes! But I'm excited and scared about the plane trip - i get pressure headaches x.x;; Yay the next two weeks are worth trudging through now. Plus Mike finally got internet so we can chat all of the time! Hope he likes our wedding webpage!

And I thought we'd never be separated again....

I live in Texas finishing my degree but my fiancee is in Virginia. We're not getting married for another year and a half (after I graduate so I can move to where he is). Therefore, we are going to be apart for months at a time. If you've ever had to be separated for your military man for long periods of time, how do you stay positive? I miss him so much every day, especially when I'm planning a wedding and my fiancee can't be here to help :( How can we keep involved in each other's lives? any advice?? thanks for your help!

xposted in the community liberalmilwives (sorry i don't know how to do the link thingy)

It's so depressing. Wedding planning is supposed to be fun but our finances aren't allowing for the wedding I was planning. :( On top of this my fiancee can't even be here to participate in the planning. And other than that I just miss him on a day-to-day basis. I thought after his 14 weeks of training we'd never be separated again and now I don't know which is worse - missing him at basic or while he's in VA. Maybe there's no difference. Sorry for the emo kid post but I don't know who to talk to about this, hence I posted my plea in the military wives community :(

weddingannouncer.com

To keep in touch with family members I made a website using www.weddingannouncer.com and it seems by far the nicest and easiest way to make a wedding webpage :D check it out at http://meg-and-mike.weddingannounc… ! I figure since I'm in Austin, Mike's in Virginia and the wedding will be in SA where most of our family is (though we're inviting family all over the US) this would be the best way to keep everyone on the same page (ha ha) as far as the latest wedding developments. I recommend it to every bride, even the non-techie. ^_^
