the job is going well. johnny and i are doing great. law school is still stressful but not as frightening. hopefully i made a miracle and will get on deans list.

Green Day has a new album dropping in May (may 15 to be exact - END OF FINALS-O-RAMA) and their site says "world tour coming soon" so... summer tour? perchance I can see them oodles of times again. John found me a bootleg release of the single "21st Century Breakdown" and it sounds pretty good. They're keeping with the tone of American Idiot and are actually writing another Rock Opera type album split into three acts. I really liked that about American Idiot, so I'm glad they're doing it again.
HOWEVER!!! The thing that makes my life MADE OF FUCKING SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE is that...
BLINK-182 REUNITED AND ARE RECORDING AND ARE TOURING THIS SUMMER
HOLY FRIG! I am so excited, its awful. So this summer: blink-182 and Green Day. YES! Hopefully tickets for everything won't be too expensive...
ps: Screeching Weasel came on the jukebox right after he did it AND the Double Down was not playing its normal loop of hentai, midge porn, and the "quest-for-the-hot-chick-movie-but-set-in-the-stone-age!" hommadeindyfilm movie but rather a new medley of punk BDSM and torture porn from the age of Drive-Ins. and maybe zombies or monsters.
also I have a piece of yarn around the bottom of the ring so it will stay on my finger.
Yes, Twitter. I tweet, I use TwitterFox so my screen always looks like this:
only minus all the sweet captions (also no, I'm not running a Mac OS - I just have a sweet Windows shell).
I use TwitPic which lets me send crap, like this, this and this, from my camera phone to twitter!
But really twitter allows me to follow others - like Shaquille O'Neil, Sockington the Cat, and John Hodgman. The moon was my friend for a while - but then i realized the moon hasn't updated in like a year... maybe 2.
the point? do i ever have one??
The point is i need more of my REAL friends on twitter... so i can read about more than Shaq's latest exploits.
I feel like a bonehead because I totally missed a call from Chambers today.
What that means to you non-lawyers (namely just you Laura, since I'm pretty sure NO ONE ELSE uses their Livejournal anymore - except for the occasional Brendo) is that I got a call for an interview regarding my Externship for the Spring semester and missed it. :(
Although, its not a total snafu since I can just call tomorrow afternoon I just wish I had answered the call TODAY.
So that means I have to both call this judge's secretary AND dye my hair back from blue tomorrow since I can't exactly interview with blue hair. Also: I need to go get my fancy shirts from John's place and get them dry cleaned. I hope I can schedule this interview for Friday. The dry cleaning is not so important because I'll only see the judge for a few minutes and as long as I'm pressed and smell OK I should be fine.
I'm really super nervous because this is MY NUMBER TWO JUDGE. Yes, the second person on my list of people I want to work for next semester. And by work, I essentially mean volunteer to be the court bitch. I will have to draft decisions on motions, draft opinions, do some research and a bunch of other stuff. Apparently this guy has you sit in chambers (which is fancy talk for Judge's Office), do a bunch of writing, and hang with his law clerk. However; my potential judge is the Honorable Michael R. Ambrecht, who is pretty much a badass. He was a corporate lawyer turned ADA and presided over some sweet trials, including one concerning Yoko Ono and her Driver and that crazy guy who tried to base jump off of the Empire State Building last year.
I really hope I get this thing. Obvs.
I thought my writing sample was pretty weak but if this judge, who clearly emphasizes writing in his externs, thinks its good, then I'm totally sold on my ability to write like a lawyer.
