I often joke that of all the music I loved in my youth, trent reznor winning an oscar was the most unexpected plot twist, but honestly rammstein's unbroken decades of extreme fuck you energy only growing more interesting as they go on is pretty great too.

I'm the translation editor on the English version of all four games, and believe me, it's very real haha. It's been very hard work, but I've enjoyed it very much. These games stick in your head.

The most liberating lesson I ever learned about consuming media was actually a line from Sandman: "You don't have to stay anywhere forever." Season 1 of a show can be tattoo-level important to you and it's still okay to bail on season 2. You don't gotta stay anywhere forever.

Finished Dead Boy Detectives! Season of Mists was the first Sandman I read as a teen so they've always been really special to me. I enjoyed the show a lot, and I think it was a good idea to age everyone up.

This is gross. Australia doesn't have a tipping culture. We prefer businesses to charge us reasonable amounts and then pay employees reasonable amounts in turn, instead of paying people below what they deserve and expecting customers to make up the shortfall at their discretion.

Every time I read the words "dark magical girl genre" I think of Smile Precure, aimed at toddlers yet featuring a climax where the earth looks pretty much like it does at the end of Devilman. A magical girl faces evil with grace: that's already the genre. No need to add 'dark'.
