Today's terrible jobs report is even WORSE when you take into account the downward revisions for the last two months.
New jobs in May were revised downward by 43,000 jobs.
New jobs in April were revised downward by 31,000 jobs.
Our economy added 74,000 FEWER jobs these past two months than the government initially told us.
Negative revisions are back:
April jobs revised down by 31,000, from +179,000 to +148,000
May jobs revised down by 43,000, from +172,000 to +129,000.
With these revisions, employment in April and May combined is 74,000 lower than previously reported
