Ok, so I can't get in to play WoW tonight. I guess I should count on this to happen Tuesday's eh? Anyways, I have been reading through the forums tonight and find very little on the other big problem, the infamous queue. Does anyone have any information they've read from Blizzard, like they're working to fix the 30 minute waits most nights?
Does anyone still read the LJ for Twilight Hope anymore? Maybe I'll have to figure out the "new system."
Far from tapering off, it feels like the queues to get onto Bloodscalp are taking longer and longer. Maybe I'm just playing more during peak-hours, but I gotta say it sucks when I have two hours to play and the first 40 minutes of it is eaten by log-on time.
Have they talked about doing one of those server-reshuffles again? I wasn't around for the other(s?), so I don't even know how it works, but, as I understand it, they let everyone choose to dump a full server in favor or the empty one of their choice, yes?
Has anyone "important" considered attempting to move the entire guild (or as much as would have it) to a new server? I don't know what goes into the politics of having a guild it seems a lot of the higher-ups know higher-ups from other guilds, so maybe that kind of drastic change would involve severing a lot of connections.
Is anyone else interested in taking a stab at this?
1) It is now the new year. YAY! Does that mean we are still going to plan on doing a dinner gathering in Dallas for all guildies to attend?
2) Some of our alts/newly upper level guildies need help running instances.
Soskue and I have tentatively planned running Deadmines on Wednesday evening - I'm a 54 Priest so I'm certain we can do it but if someone with a higher DPS wants to run it and help him?/her? kill Van Cleaf I'm sure there would be gratitude.
Runecat needs help running ZF so he can get his carrot on a stick.
I need to clear out 2 quests in Mara and a couple in ST - anyone want to schedule a run through next week? I'll be unavailable Thur - Sun (which is good since I'll get more rested XP.)
Anyone else need to schedule runs?
Where is the forum again? I need to register. I know I should use it but I'm constantly forgetting to register.
Dear Guildies, I may not be on until after Christmas, or possibly a little sooner, as my screen died, and I have ot wait to get my new one. The one I'm using now down't even have the resolution to play Catz5.;_; Hope you don't out lvl me too much:). -Miho
Edit: I can get onto WoW, but my screen is dumb and tineh! Therefore, I might come on to say hi, or lern to play ur class.
So I was reading through thottbot and found that at level 48 I can do the first prayer of Fortitude book thing. Who knows where/how to go about this? Omarosa can you give me a hand so I can start looking for this drop?
A Message regarding the use of profanity in guild chat.
Our guild is growing at a healthy pace. It seems our newest members feel comfortable asking basic questions with respect to game play and feel at home. Our new members, those new to the game itself, and those that have migrated to Twilight Hope from other guilds are members for a reason. Perhaps a guild member stopped to help a low level player survive an encounter with a tough mob. We have seen level 60 players join Twilight Hope because we have demonstrated organized and efficient teaming in groups. Not long ago, Shadow Knights Guild ultimately merged with Twilight as a result of one of our members suggestions.
With growth and maturity comes responsibility. We now as leaders and members of Twilight Hope represent something special. When we are out in battle, either against Horde or NPCs, we have the Twilight Hope name next to our own. We are an example to others.
Recently I removed the profanity filter from the game interface out of curiosity. One of the many aspects of the game is a social element that has carried over in some cased into real life. We must be careful and considerate when sharing our comments in guild chat. I am guilty myself of saying inappropriate things and using profanity in guild chat to the point that I offended another player. My offending comments were noticed by other members who proceeded to bring to my attention that I have offended and hurt someone’s feelings.
While the game does have a profanity filter, I would like to recommend that we as individuals, as leaders, as members, as role models, make an effort to use restraint and consideration when communicating in guild chat. We are an example to others. There are many guild members who are very expressive about their feelings and do so without the use of profanity. We can have fun and express ourselves in ways that do not offend.
Falling short of setting guild policy, I recommend try to refrain from the use of profanity in guild chat. What about saying &^%& or &*@(@ (fill in any words potentially profane)? I suggest using your best judgment. Remember you represent yourself as well as the Twilight Hope Guild.
Respectfully,
Paul
