Jack's left earth and he assumes a new identity on the Ion Cruiser ship Annidelaide. The crew Mylo Brascha, Balte, Taoegue and the ship's computer Annie come to know him as the Face of Boe. He becomes close friends with Mylo (the Captain) as they gather radiated energy from space. The Face of Boe (or just Boe) helps them mine space in return for his room on board. They take him to the nearest space station where he can move on further into time and space... only when he gets there he hears a familiar voice. Through genetic spatial multiplicity he comes face to face with Ianto Jones. A rather young Ianto whose the pilot of his late father's cruise ship. Boe pays for passage on the cruise, in the hopes of getting to know Ianto all over. Must be titled Another Life.

Details:

After The Year The Never Was, Jack returns to his friends (and lover) at Torchwood. He tries to get back into the habit of work but it all becomes too much for him after John pushes him off the building and he suffers a violent death. Jack explains to the team that he needs a break from Torchwood to recover... they're reluctant because Jack asks them to ret-con him so he can live temporarily as a human. In the end they give in because he makes a compromise; he'll alter the retcon so it'll wipe his memory but will have a strong trigger (the word Tardis). So Jack wipes his memory and begins to live as a regular human thanks to the false life set up by Tosh. Ianto takes him into his home as Jack's boyfriend to protect and care for the Captain. The only thing is with the retcon, Jack can't remember Ianto... he can't remember ever laying eyes on him before. Ianto has to convince Jack of how important to him and how much he loves him.

G - PG-13 but possibly higher.

General Rules for the Community

1. Behaviour - There will be no bashing/flaming/abuse of any kind on this board. Anyone found breaking this rule will be immediately banned, no questions asked. That kind of behaviour will not be tolerated here.

2. Tagging - Since this is a community it is very important that you use tags. It makes things easier for us: if you're posting a challenge then tag it as such, if you're posting to accept a challenge then post accept. If you fail to do so, you will be given a warning... continue to do so and you will be thrown out of the community without appeal.

3. Posting - Each challenge must have a number, the specific details, the user's name in the post, the suggested rating, the coupling (if any) and genre. The number of the challenge should follow on from the last person who posted. For those accepting a challenge you must state the number of the challenge and it's status (WIP/Complete) plus a link/cut to your take on the challenge posted in your journal. Anyone who fails to do so will get a warning, continuation will result in expulsion.

4. Dead Letters - Any request not taking after a period of 4 weeks will automatically be tagged as dead. The same with any WIP challenges, if there's not been any activity/updates within that period then they will be tagged dead. If you return to the challenge and want it moved off the dead tag then contact any admin/mods and ask them to do that.

5. Downloads and Hot Linking - This is not a community for downloading: there will be no requests for downloads, no links for youtube vids and absolutely no hot linkng in any posts. Anyone caught doing this will be given the boot and not in a good way. If you have created a fan video based on the fan fic challenge then you can appeal to the admin/mods to post it within accepted tags only.

Hello All!

Welcome to the new Torchwood Community specifically created for Challenges! I was looking round LiveJournal and Fanfic.net and I realised that there wasn't anywhere proper where people could post/accept challenges. So I created this community!

As always there are some rules to follow! You can find them here. Anyone caught not following the rules will get the boot, sorry, but don't follow the rules and you bring it on yourself!

Any questions, please feel free to ask and I'm looking for some people who'd be willing to moderate. Make sure people adhere to the rules and all that! I think that's it, oh yeah... enjoy TW Challenges and welcome!
